WRITING PROMPT

5 Writing Prompts — №2 Hidden Worlds

Not everything is as it seems. Are you ready to discover what is hidden in the open?

It took me a little longer than I planned but here is writing prompt №2. Initially, I wanted to write sea-related prompts but let’s look at the following pictures and search for hidden worlds.

Prompt №1 — The old oak’s face

People sometimes ask, “If trees could talk, what would they say?” Look at this oak. What do you think it tries to tell us?

Prompt №2 — Are these just stones?

Rows of huge ragged rocks lie in the forest. Like teeth, they protrude out of the ground. Are they a sleeping dragon’s teeth? If not, what are they?

Prompt №3 — The tiny watermill

A tiny watermill at the fringe of a lake. Is this just decoration? A tiny power plant? Or could it be some small creature’s home? And what is that seagull’s role in all of it?

Prompt №4 — A lake of clouds

Are these just clouds in a mountain valley, or is it a lake of clouds? If you jumped into it, where would you go?

Prompt №5 — A broken tree or a throne

Is this just a broken tree? Have a closer look. Maybe this could be a fairy’s throne. Or who else might have ruled these woods?

That’s it for this time. I hope I have sparked some ideas. Have fun writing!
