Facebook groups allow you to promote your work to specific niche groups. Some with over 200,000 members. For example, if your online store is about cats you can join a cat niche group and promote your products for free.

I use to have a logo design gig on Fiverr and I used a design group to promote my gig. I got a sale in the first hour, which was amazing. My point is Facebook groups are effective and are a great alternative to ads.
