5 Ways to Say How Can I Afford it, Instead of it’s Too Expensive
These are simple ways you can change your mindset

As you go into a new year, there are a few things you say to yourself that you’ll never be able to afford it. You need to stop right there. You need to change your mindset.
These limiting beliefs are holding you back. You can get anything you want in life but you need to change your mindset. Having a limiting belief will not allow you to grow and have the things you want.
Many say you need to live within your means and I do not disagree with that. If you try to buy any and everything, you will be in a lot of trouble and have your credit cards maxed to the limit. There is another way of thinking you need to know about.
Robert Kiyosaki believes you should have an abundance mindset.
“The rich families had a mindset of abundance. My poor family had a mindset of scarcity.”
Robert Kiyosaki and his wife, Kim, made a deal. If either one of them wanted a new toy or a new investment, they didn’t let the lack of money prevent them from buying it. As a husband and wife, they decided what do they need to do so one of them could afford something.
One time, Robert wanted to buy a 1989 Porsche Speedster. There were only 8,000 models of this car produced. He loved this car and it was on his wish list.
In 1995, a Porsche dealer knew Robert was looking for this Speedster. He called Robert and told him he had the very first edition of the Porsche and it only had 2,400 miles on it. This car was still in excellent shape.
Kim asked Robert if he wanted to car. He of course said yes. Robert’s wife said if you want the car, you need to find an asset to pay for it.
With a week, Robert found a storage project in Texas that he borrowed money to pay for it. The storage project cash flowed and was enough to pay for the property as well as money for Robert’s Porsche. Five years later the Porsche was paid off and Robert’s storage project was still cash flowing.
Personally, you may not find a storage project but there are many options you can do to afford something that is out of your price range. You just have to stop limiting your beliefs.
Actions tip for you
These five tips could be a way for you to afford something that is out of your reach. Many people are doing one or some of these suggestions to change their life.
1. Get a second job
You may be working your full-time job now but you may be able to pick up a second job. The second job can be driving for Uber or DoorDash which only require a few additional hours a week. The extra money could help you pay down your credit card or give you money to help buy an item on your wish list.
2. Sell things you no longer need
There is likely a chance you have items sitting around your place that you no longer use. These days, just about anything can be sold online and someone may actually need these items. You could sell your items on eBay, Facebook Marketplace, Mercari, Craigslist, or another online selling site.
3. Rent out a room with Airbnb
If you have a room in your place that is not getting used, this is one way you can make extra money. You can use Airbnb and rent out the extra room. You just have to be comfortable listing your room and watch the cash trickle into your pocket. Another option is you could rent out your place if you’ll be away for a period of time.
4. Buy an investment that pays you
Like Robert, you can buy an investment that helps you pay for an item you want. This may not be quick or fast, but still very possible. You can buy a cash flowing rental property that puts money in your pocket.
5. Rent your car and make money
Turo has been around for about 10 years and the company allows you to rent your car. If you have an extra car or don’t drive your car as much, you can rent your car to someone. You set your own price and rules.
Can you think of other ways to make money to buy something you really want?
