5 Ways to Save Time and Be More Productive

Even you know it but you don’t apply it

Time is the most valuable asset everyone is blessed with. God has blessed us with 24 hours a day. No more no less, it’s perfectly the same for everyone. So, it now depends on how you are using it.

I know you have many lists in your head which you want to achieve but you don’t have time. Maybe you want to renovate your home, start journaling, start exercising, or it can be anything. I know you have something in your head which you want to start, it may be your side hustle or something you want to do full time.

But you are not getting time. So I am listing 5 things you need to do so that you get an ample amount of time to be productive.

Start saying NO to people

Yes, start saying no. It’s difficult but it’s necessary for your growth and your mental happiness. I know you think if you said no then:

  • People will judge you.
  • You will destroy your relationship and disappoint others.
  • People will start neglecting you.

But nothing like that happens. It’s your mentality that disturbs you. So start saying no to your friends, family, and neighbors and save your time. Don’t say yes just for the sake of saying and disturb your serenity.

It doesn’t matter what people will say or what they think. You just stop thinking about people and started working for your betterment and for your peace. This thing will benefit you to save much of your time.

Stopped being a slave for people and disturb your happiness and time. If your heart says no to things then just directly say no. Don’t just pile up your heart with one more issue. So, start saying no to be productive.

Start Saying ‘NO’ — Trust me.

You will know your standards.

Plan your day

Have a plan or routine of your day before a day begins. Write it down or just glance over your thoughts a night before what you want to do tomorrow. Have some rigid plan and start working.

When you start working do these things first:

  • Do your important and hard task first.
  • Set goals within your capacity.
  • Schedule time slots.

So, start planning your day. Don’t give a trigger to your mind that it’s okay to relax a bit and schedule it for the next day. Take breaks in between to warm up yourself but don’t stop doing your work. So, make sure to plan your day today for your bright tomorrow.

“Your little wins will make you happy.”

Do things which you love

Start doing things that you love. Because it will never hinder your work. It will always inspire you to do more and you won’t feel tired anymore. It will always be fun and it will lead to productivity and success.

I know people have to do things which they don’t like just like 9 to 5 jobs or much other boring stuff. I know you can’t leave the job and do something which you love. There are tons of responsibilities on your head and job pays all your bills.

So if you want to start doing things you love:

  • First, create a vision for it.
  • Looked at the benefits of it in the future.
  • And started working on it. Maybe just for a few hours a day.

So, start working on your side hustle even if you have a boring job. Work on your emotions and start doing it. Take it in action. You need to act to achieve it. This is the best way to utilize time instead of procrastinating.

“Amazing things will happen if once you start doing things that you love.”

Stop scrolling on social media

You have to stop for your good future. You are wasting almost 2–3 hours a day on it. The more social media account the more wasting of time.

It’s like once you just went and see a story and you find yourself in a loop of looking more and scrolling more. We are all in that loop and it’s not worth it.

I changed the way of working on that platform. I usually started Instagram for posting my quotes. So, I did the following things to use it wisely and acquiring benefits from it:

  • Followed only writers.
  • Posted when I was in the middle of a break. Mostly after my dinner or lunch.
  • Stopped scrolling.

So, stop following people who disturb your peace and start following people which will make you productive in your area. Stop scrolling at people’s stuff and start working on your stuff. Use it when you are free and start doing something for you in your life.

“Do it now, unfollow people who don’t bring positivity in your life.”

Take care of yourself

Yes, your health is important. The food, your sleep cycle is important. If you need 7-hour sleep make sure you have it. If you don’t sleep properly you will feel lazy throughout your day and this will hinder your growth.

So, make sure:

  • You take your vitamins.
  • Have a sound sleep.
  • Love yourself.
  • Have a gratitude journal by your bedside.
  • Hydrate yourself from time to time.

Self-care is complementary to productivity. If your health is good. Everything is good. Your time will never be wasted. You won’t feel sluggish and bored throughout your day. Your work will always be in progress.

“Love yourself first, and everything else falls in line. You really have to love yourself to get anything done in this world.”

-Lucille Ball

Final Thoughts

You are the creator of your life. So, start understanding what is important for you and stop wasting time. Work on goals that will lead you to beautiful places. Have a vision and start working.

If you have 2 hours free each day, it’s your asset. Where can you invest it? Tv or watching TED talk. Shopping or learning a new skill. Watching movies or calling grandma to ask how is she today.

“Your time is limited so don’t waste it living someone else’s life.”
