5 Ways To Make Money Reading Trending Medium Articles
Tips for better life and living
Are you a writer that’s new to Medium, or been slugging away and trying to get some traction on this site? Definitely being a writer or trying to be a successful writer is no easy feat. It takes hard work, dedication, and a little help from others.
Here are a few awesome reasons why you should check out Medium’s myriad of writers to gain insight.
1.Research Business Opportunities
Staying stagnant is not cool. Don’t put all your eggs in one basket. Lots of online entrepreneurs have multiple business side-hustles.
Consider a few that you can learn about on Medium: Etsy, Fiverr, LinkedIn, Blogging, Affiliate Marketing.
Did you know that you can start your investigation on these gigs by going to the Medium Home Page, and clicking on the search icon?
Here you can read about a member’s personal experience using various platforms, including Red Bubble or other areas.
There’s a story on Medium that has a blurb about Upwork Alternatives. Worth checking out.
One writer has a story about making money sleeping. Even if the ideas may be nothing new, you got to admit the title is good.
2.Skill Enhancement for Financial Success:
Explore a diverse range of topics on Medium, from innovative investment strategies to personal finance management.
Acquiring a broad skill set empowers you to make more informed financial decisions, potentially contributing to increased wealth and financial security in the long run.
You can read about the pros and cons of crypto currency, the benefits of using LinkedIn, and acquiring easy side hustles like dog walking, pet sitting, or similar ventures.
You can also read what kind of mindset it takes to be successful. You can read articles from writers who provide quotes from popular and inspiring leaders. Want to know how to meditate for success? That’s my area and you can check out my articles on my profile.
3. Spot Trending Articles By Reading And Exploring New Writers
Check out the recommended stories from Medium. Analyze why these stories are so popular. What resonated for you? One Medium writer revealed that he found a way to make consistent money just by writing about fruit!
You can check out what’s trending now by going to Medium and checking out the headlines.
Another way is by going to the Home panel and looking at the title of the page. Here you’ll find mini topics that include articles: For You, Following, Culture, Digital Nomads, Side Hustle, Make Money Online, Spirtuality, etc.
After analyzing this, you’ll soon realize that these are tags that you can use for your own articles and sometimes, I spotted my own articles under these categories.
4. Getting Creative With Trend-Spotting Articles
Now select a few niches that pique your interest. Want to create a craft on Etsy? Find out what other sellers are doing, and how they are doing it.
Some writers are also using affiliate links on their stories. Explore their affiliate links and how they are making money.
AI was a big topic a few months ago — it still is and some writers are selling AI prompts on sites such as Gumroad.
5. Income Potential Through Writing
You can share your personal experiences. This is a great way to resonate with your readers. Almost all readers do not like AI generated content, because it sounds insincere, and bogus. It’s too perfect and lots of readers like to see your articles that reveal yourself as a person — blood, sweat, fears and tears and maybe some interesting revelations!
Make money with the Medium Partner Program, as well as the new Friend’s tier. By helping other writers earn, you can help yourself, and sometimes they will return the favor.
Comment, engage, highlight and clap. I once got one clap for an article and a so-so- supportive comment. Clapping motivates the writer. It’s free, and shouldn’t cause you to get a wrist sprain or face injury that requires hospitalization. Hey, I am just saying. Have you ever given one clap to someone? How do you think it made the other person feel? How did it make you feel? Good inside? Good for you. I get it. Some AI generated articles deserve 1 clap. It’s easy peasy to create an article without your own input. What about other writers who generate their own articles, (spending hours in the process)? Consider their efforts and go ahead with those claps.
Conclusions
Writers can learn from reading other readers. Let’s spread the knowledge around and not just focus on Facebook writing groups. Rumor has it that Medium is clamping down on writers (suspending) who strictly engage on Facebook writing groups. If you use FB groups, go on the Medium site and spread your time there, too.
I came across some writers’ stories with 0 reads, 0 claps, and 0 highlights. Not cool. Give them some love and show support for your fellow writers — you’ll also pick up some tips too and possibly, extra reads, too.
