5 unrelated little ways I follow

Simple rules that had greater impact in my life

1. Have some cash in your wallet( purse ) that you will never use unless absolutely needed.

Yes, everywhere cards are accepted. Wherever card is not accepted you have some cash with you. If you don’t have cash then the ATM won’t be far away either. Except when they are or you are not in a position to go. The longer you see that cash staying unused is better you know about the not so helpless situation you didn’t face.

2. Keep a band-aid ( for that matter whatever is the smallest first-aid kit ) with you.

Follows the same practice as the first one. Time is the only additional constraint here.

3. When opening a public door, use your hand to pull while staying at a distance longer than the arms length.

Has it ever happened that someone open the door at some public places and hit your face/body? Yah, arms can be extended for a purpose and palms go vertical to hand for same purpose.

4. Flush the toilet before use at public places.

99.99% of the world can become a better citizen. But there will always be some who due to their nature or their own physical or other such reasons may leave the toilet in an unclean situation. You can offset the water usage by other methods.

5. Don’t press vegetables/fruits by hand to check freshness/ripeness or similar stuffs.

Most vegetables are soft and most don’t withstand the pressure. Yah, you always apply gentle pressure. It’s only when infinite such gentle pressure gets added the vegetables/fruits become inedible.
