5 Types Of Female Profiles on Tinder

Ladies – Stop Doing This!

Tinder continues to be the most popular dating app of all time, with 75 million active users.

The recent lockdowns in all parts of the world have had millions more fleeing to the app looking for a romantic connection, including me.

Browsing through Tinder again after using it in the past, I see not much has changed.

My experience over the years has allowed me to classify some recurring Tinder profiles into types.

Here they are:

Type -1: The “I Don’t Know Why I am Here” Profile

This profile only says, “I don’t know why I am here,” followed by an emoji.

Ladies - Stop doing this!

Your desperate attempt to sound mysterious and intriguing will only backfire.

Men won’t be intrigued into swiping right — “We know why we are here; perhaps we can help her find out why she’s here. And hopefully, in the end, we’re both here for the same reason.”

Na – men don’t think like that.

Unless you are notably hot or suffer from memory loss — joined a dating app only to forget why you joined — you will not be excused.

Show some personality — even a boring: “Hi, I like to binge on Netflix” sounds better.

If men are not too impressed by your pics — your bio with “I don’t know why I am here” gives you zero backup for your chance to be swept right.

Don’t put yourself in such a precarious situation — write an honest bio of what you want from Tinder, coz you know why you are here.

Type -2: The “Hide and Seek” Profile

The main picture on this profile shows a group of 4-5 women. The attractive ones catch your eye — you move to the next pic hoping one of them belongs to the profile owner.

The next pic has 3 women — you still don’t know who is the profile owner.

Next pic — you see only 2 women. You are hoping the attractive one on the left is her.

The final picture leaves you disappointed.

Welcome to the “hide and seek” profile – she likes to hide behind her attractive friends.

Ladies — stop doing this!!

We don’t even know if any of these attractive women are your friends — you could be a nutcase getting pictures clicked with random women to get noticed on Tinder. Or an excellent photoshopper.

Even if lazy men swipe right seeing all the attractive women in your main picture, they will find out who you are once you match up and start messaging each other. How far do you see yourself going with him after that? I can tell you: not too far — he will unmatch and leave.

Don’t hide behind women you think are more attractive than you. Well, even if they are — your profile needs to be about you.

You are depriving yourself of an opportunity to find true love or getting laid — whatever your reason is for being on Tinder.

Stop being insecure about your looks and post your pics. Women think men are looking for Beyonce, Shakira, Kylie Jenner lookalikes. They are, but that does not mean that’s all they will take.

Set your best picture as the main picture. Let the men decide, and if you don’t have the looks at all — let the personality shine through.

There are takers of personality on Tinder as well, however minuscule.

Type -3: The Single Mum Profile

I am a fan of single mums on Tinder — raising kids and looking for a partner is not easy. And they are usually the hottest lot, in my opinion.

The pictures they post exude class — well dressed women who work out and have their life organized. They are the perfect balance of maturity and wildness.

But wait – then they also decide to throw in a picture of their kids in the profile.

Ladies — stop doing this!

The man knows what a single mum means; you don’t need to post a picture of your kids for him to see. He’s not on Tinder to be a father; he’s looking for a relationship with you.

You were doing so well with your solo pics, and then you suddenly scared your potential suitor away with your “I am looking for a daddy for my children” picture. Too soon for that.

He can see the kids later when your relationship is strong enough.

Focus on laying the foundation for your relationship with him first.

And posting pictures of your children on a dating app for any reason is a big NO.

Type — 4: The “I Got It All” Profile

The owner of this profile shows off her lavish lifestyle — posh house/apartment, fine dining in fancy restaurants, expensive clothes & accessories, luxury cars, and maybe even a private jet.

Ladies — stop doing this!

You are intimidating men by flaunting your super successful life on Tinder. They can’t get themselves to swipe right; your profile is too imperious.

Don’t go overboard — give your not-so-successful potential soulmate a chance to connect with you.

Don’t let your success be a hindrance in your quest for love.

And the men who do swipe right might only be interested in your money.

A vulgar display of wealth on a dating app is not a very good idea for your security.

Type-5: The Overly Evil Themed Profile

This profile is copiously evil-themed with pictures of the owner dressed up as a witch or vampire, and the bio includes quotes like “ I don’t live in darkness, darkness lives in me.”

Ladies, I understand your need to stand out — but you need to stop doing this!

A psycho serial killer might take your pretense evilness at face value and enter your life imagining you as his evil partner-in-crime soul mate.

You are putting your life in danger with your “I am very evil” act.

Accept it: you are not evil —you only want to stand out and be noticed.

But trust me, this is not the way to go about it.

A little dark is okay, but don’t give men the idea that you are comfortable getting rid of bodies.
