5 Tips that will motivate you to lose weight
We all have been there…

Tired of the stares and the questions that come with so many questions.
Why don’t you lose the weight?
You could go for a walk?
Have you tried to go on a diet?
Just get up and walk.
Believe me. You have tried it all. Nothing seems to help and your confidence drops lower and lower.
However, there is a way.
There is a way that you can improve your lifestyle and actively make the scale go down. Here are a few tips to help you in your journey.
1) Don’t weigh yourself every day
If only we could say you never used to do this, well you are wrong.
Everyone breaks the golden rule once in a while, It’s human. We so badly want to see if we have made any progress only for our hearts to drop when we see the scale hasn’t moved or worse.
Gone up.
You feel like you can’t do anything right and you fall back into old habits, which is where the next rule comes into play.
2) Don’t tell yourself, you can’t do it
Never let your emotions get the better of you. You have the willpower to do it, you just need to find the belief you can do it. Everyone has that choice, It’s all about taking that first step, and once you have done it.
It can be life-changing.
Self-confidence can be your best friend. All you need is that first reason that motivates you to lose weight, where the next title comes in
3) Ask yourself why you want to lose weight
Everyone should have a purpose as to why they want to lose weight. Having a goal in mind can motivate you to achieve the dream that you have set for yourself. A lot of people who want to lose weight for specific things like,
- Improve health & fitness.
- Appearance/image.
- Traveling/Vacation.
- Formal Events.
- Diseases.
- Boosting your energy.
Whatever you choose, understand that you don’t have to be perfect. You do not need fancy equipment or fancy gym memberships to get going on your weight loss journey, you just need motivation to keep you on track.
4) Keep a record of everything
Keeping track of your progress can be beneficial to your goals and your motivation. Here is a list of things you could get to help,
- Writing Journal
- Tape Measure
- Calendar
- Notes
- Weight-loss scales
Remember not everything is about the scales, checking your measurements with the tape measure is always better as your water weight changes throughout the day.
5) Celebrate small victories
Any progress is amazing!
Whether it’s 5kg or even 1kg, any victory deserves to be celebrated. No matter how big or small.
You accomplished something that you should be proud of. The first step you take will always be hard, but seeing the success you make after losing your first kilo, will feel like a massive relief to you.
Celebrating your success will help you stay motivated, we all fall off the wagon sometimes, so give yourself some credit. After all, we are only human.
Those are the few tips that help you stay motivated throughout your weight loss journey.
Losing weight can be hard but if you work towards your goals and don’t give up, anything is possible.
All it takes is that first step.
