5 Things You’ll Realize After Deleting Social Media from your Phone
There’s a whole lot that changes when you delete those apps off your phone.

I have been absolutely shocked by how much life has changed after setting my boundaries with the social media apps. By not having them on my phone life has had lots of game-changers. Let me tell you all about a few things that happened over the past few months:
1. Your world becomes quieter.
You’re more unplugged probably than you’ve been in a long time. You aren’t constantly consuming content, keeping up with random people on the internet, and you’re guarding your mental space more than ever. You’re not constantly available to anyone who sends a message, and that’s great for you.
You don’t feel stressed out to reply to someone at all hours of the day and frankly, you tend to forget where your phone is sometimes. It’s so nice and honestly refreshing to not feel chained to a device!
2. You become more focused on your goals.
Soon you’ll realize how much mental space was truly taken up by one device. Once you free yourself of those patterns to always scroll on social media you’ll realize how much of a relief it is to have that time back!
With more time back you are able to focus more on your goals and how you’re going to accomplish them. You become a lot more motivated and refreshed by removing those outside distractions!
3. You learn who’s really in your corner.
So many people will probably not understand why you deleted the social media apps off your phone. Some will even challenge you on it. But remember that those people who actually respect you will ask why, listen to you, and then respect your boundaries.
You’ll learn that the people who don’t respect your boundaries will think it’s a bigger problem than it is and they’ll still continue in their old ways. That’s fine, they’ll “weed themselves out” eventually.
4. You find more peace in your life.
You’re not constantly feeling like you’re running on a hamster wheel to perform. You don’t have to get back to DM’s at all hours of the day, check your email and reply instantly, or even post online every single day.
You focus more on sharing quality content that you care about, not what the most recent trend tells you to share. It’s refreshing and since your life is quieter you’re able to have more peace than ever before.
5. You start living more.
Less time scrolling means more time living. More time to explore, work on you and your goals, and spend time with family. Whatever you value the most, you’ll be able to spend more time doing those things. It brings a new level of joy that you never knew was possible.
If you haven’t tried deleting your social media apps off your phone so you can online access them on a computer, I highly recommend trying it!
