5 Things You Need to Do Within The 1st Hour That Your Post Goes Live.

Imagine a YouTuber went Live and left by just leaving the camera on.

That Can’t Be Good if you are trying to build an engaging audience base.

Well, that’s how I felt when I read something that resonates and can’t find anyone to talk to about it on other platforms.

What’s the point of reading when you can’t express your opinions and thoughts to it?

With Medium, it is a direct conversation with the writer. Where both the reader and writer get a direct response and feedback when they engage in the comments.

When that happens more often, the traction will start to kick in because there is always another pair of eyes that is reading both of your comments.

Not to be creepy but that’s just how it works here, sometimes they might even jump in and say something out of the blue, which is a hit or miss.

That is always a plus when done in a mannerable way, yet can’t discard how brave Mediumer is?

We’re going off-topic here.

Let’s get back online.

So what should you do within the first hour?

The first thing you should do is double-check check title, tags, and pub. (which should be done before that but you can always check to make sure)

Reminder list (engagement cheatsheet)

  1. If you have any un-replied comments this is the best time to do so, you can either ask them to come to check out your new post directly or indirectly, that would depend on the relation and engagement history of both of you, which you should know best.
  2. The one that always comes by, a genuine comment should do it if they are online or have a couple of minutes to look what is up.
  3. This will also depend on what they said in the comment, you should know when to use direct and indirect to your new post.
  4. For newer audiences that commented, you can try to ask but my best tip for this is to use point 5.
  5. Go into their latest post, read it, and provide a thought-out comment first, and then come back to your post and reply to their comment, and make sure to say how much you like or appreciate that post as well.

This way your effort is less likely to be wasted, there is still a hit-or-miss moment but the one that gets it will keep on supporting you because you did the incredible #5 first.

There aren’t many shortcuts on Medium, but this is one of them.

I understand that if you post on Pubs or have a busy life, that is hard to control but do try it when you can if you are struggling to get consistent reads.

This is mainly for beginners or new writers who have the time to do it.

Or how else you can say thank you to your readers?

If you already have a stronger audience base, you can keep on supporting the one that is still supporting you.

And thanks Carl Jeffers for the AI Image Creator hint, free and easy to use.

Thanks for Reading and your post 1st hour should look like this.
