5 Signs — Your Life Is Changing For Better

‘It is never too late to be what you might have been.’ — George Eliot

By Author

If you are feeling lost, clueless, and not sure what to do next. You are not alone.

Everyone has similar feelings at some point in their life.

I have the exact same feeling as I write this.

And for many years I fought against the same feeling.

However, acknowledging that you need a new or a different way to lead your life is one of the best things that has happened to you.

Some people may not even realize that.

The best thing about the worst things we go through in life is that they always serve as a bridge to something better.

Here are signs that your life is leading to something better.

1. Understanding what you *don’t* need

You can recognize that you are getting aware of yourself and able to say what you don’t need in your life.

Since I read the book Spark Joy by Marie Kondo, I am asking myself genuinely “is this going to bring joy?

That is working like a catalyst for me to focus on important things to bring positivity and happiness.

If you’re becoming acutely aware of how much you dislike your work habits and how much your friends drain you, and how little you feel like yourself lately.

It means you are on the path to decluttering your life and really, you’re getting clear on what you don’t want so you can get clearer about what you do.

“When you change your thoughts, remember to also change your world.” — Norman Vincent Peale

2. Reconnecting with people on a deeper level

At this time, I forgave the people who did wrong and the resentment I had for them for years.

I am understanding maybe this is how it should be for me to become the person I am today. And now reconnecting seems like a natural choice for me.

Even if you’re just thinking about the fact that you need to open your heart more to the people around you, you’re on the right track.

So let go of negative emotions, forgive people, and move on.

3. A lot of annoying clichés are starting to make sense

Last weekend I had a friend and her sister visited me for lunch. We talked a bit about our parents, and grandparents who used to quote some bizarre quotes when we were kids.

But as we are growing older those things starting to make sense now.

You’re seeing why hard work is important, being present matters, and positivity is a choice.

Happiness comes from within.

You’re seeing how love is something you create and your life is what you make it and everything else seems unnecessary.

4. Becoming more of yourself

Now you are finally understanding the most used and cliched quote of all time.

Be Yourself.

As you are getting closer to self-awareness, you are understanding the meaning of being yourself.

You are getting comfortable with your body, the choices you are making, and surrounding yourself wanting to feel more like yourself, not less.

When you’re more in your center, you want your life to reflect who you are, not who you wish you were.

To help yourself, you must be yourself. Be the best that you can be. When you make a mistake, learn from it, pick yourself up and move on. — Dave Pelzer

5. Giving your best to Universe

In another article, I talked about why it’s important to give to the universe and how it can help you to achieve your ideal life.

If you are not getting enough out of life, instead of procrastinating, and feeling low, now you’re starting to think that maybe you’re not giving enough, either.

You complain that you don’t have love but you don’t go out and try to date.

You hate your job, but you don’t look for a new one.

You recognize that you want more from your life and understand that it’s time that you start making that happen.

If you are working on something that you really care about, you don’t have to be pushed. The vision pulls you. — Steve Jobs

Final thoughts

A sense of feeling lost in life can in many ways be extremely painful and difficult to deal with.

However, these feelings can also change in your life if you acknowledge them and act.

Above anything, cherish your mental well-being and don’t underestimate its worth.

If you are unable to do it by yourself, it’s always a good idea to seek professional guidance to distinguish between a sense of freedom for yourself and a sense of despair.

The best thing about the worst things we go through in life is that they always serve as a bridge to something better.
