We have come so far with the theme “Procrastination”. Today’s the second last day of the series.

Quick Review

This is a short and quick review of 5 prompts.

  1. Find your “why”
  2. Set your goals
  3. Find your motivation
  4. Decide your priorities
  5. Remove all the distractions

These are the five simple steps we have to do to beat “Procrastination”.

Now, when we already come this far. What is that one thing that keeps us going? When we are working on a goal, it’s hard to stay on goals.

“Progress is man’s ability to complicate simplicity”.

-Thor Heyerdahl

Tracking your progress is an important thing to do while working on a big project or work. For example, if you want to be fit, you are finishing your workout goals every day then you have to track your results. Are you getting benefited from what are you doing? If you are getting any results, you might do it wrong. Tracking progress will help you to identify the problem.

When you track your progress, it will make you more focused and purposeful. Use your spare time to track your progress on specific goals and projects.

“We are approaching a new age of synthesis. Knowledge cannot be merely a degree or a skill... it demands a broader vision, capabilities in critical thinking and logical deduction without which we cannot have constructive progress”.

-Li Ka-shing

When you are working on your goals, first you have to focus on progress rather than perfection. Once, you will finish the task you will have enough time to make your work perfect. First, go with the progress, then make it perfect.

  1. Reminder to make progress

When you start tracking your progress, it’s a great reminder to make a progress. If you are taking your goals for granted them make a schedule for tracking your results on regular basis. It will force you to work and make a progress.

“You don’t make progress by standing on the sidelines, whimpering and complaining. You make progress by implementing ideas’.

-Shirley Chisholm

To make a progress, you have to implement your ideas rather than make complaints.

2. It will give you an idea of how much extra effort you need to make to finish your goals

When you check your progress, it will help you to get a rough idea of how much hard work you have to do. What are the extra efforts you need to make to finish your work?

“There is progress whether you are going forward or backward! The thing is to move”!

-Edgar Cayce

No matter if you haven’t made any progress, realizing it is the main thing. Now when you know it, it’s time to move.

3. It will help you to find problems

As I mentioned above if you are working on your fitness goals. Tracking your problems helps you to find problems. If it’s not giving you the results, then you have to do something about it. Maybe you are doing it in the wrong way.

Therefore, it’s important to track your progress on regular basis.

“Don’t look too far into the future, just look at tomorrow. One day at a time. Can you win tomorrow? Can you make progress? The answer is yes, you have a choice and tomorrow you’re going to win”.

-Joe Wicks

4. Give you a right direction

Tracking your progress gives you the right direction. If you are doing something wrong, it will help you to find the problems.

It will help you to grow.

“Without continual growth and progress, such words as improvement, achievement, and success have no meaning”.

-Benjamin Franklin

Therefore, today’s prompt is

Write about the progress that you have made. Keep a tracking journal and track your progress on regular basis.

Whenever you have some extra time, finish this task. It will help you achieve your goals.

Tracking progress is the best way to finish long-term and complicated projects with ease. No matter you get good results or bad, it will help you in both ways. If you made progress then you will be inspired be finish your tasks and if you haven’t made any success then you have a chance to solve the problem and try again to make progress.
