5 Reasons Why I’m Ditching My iPhone for Good
As someone who has been a loyal iPhone user for years, the decision to switch to a different brand wasn’t an easy one. But after much consideration, I’ve decided that it’s time for me to break up with Apple. And here are my top 5 reasons why:
1. Constant changes that nickel and dime you: With every new iPhone release, it seems like there’s always a new charger, new headphones, or some other accessory that you need to buy in order to keep up. And honestly, I’m tired of constantly having to shell out money for new stuff.
2. Control over our messaging: The way that Apple controls our messaging through the use of blue texts vs green texts is just crazy to me. It’s like they want to control every aspect of our communication. And I’m not down for that.
3. You can’t add memory to your phone. Once you purchase your iPhone, that’s it. You’re locked into that amount of storage and if you want more, you have to spend money on iCloud.
4. If something breaks, you basically have to buy a new phone. Apple’s repair prices are exorbitant and often not worth the cost.
5: The updates. I’ve lost count of how many times an update has made certain aspects of my phone not work, and I’ve even had notes not accessible during important times because I didn’t update my phone immediately.
All in all, I’m tired of giving my money to a company that doesn’t have my best interests at heart. It’s time to make the switch and find a brand that truly cares about its customers.
