5 minutes until our first date I’m right on time, I am not late you texted you are on the way and my heart started to sway
4 minutes until our first date before you show up at the gate butterflies dance in my chest I doubt they’re going to rest
3 minutes until our first date till my cellphone writes ‘eight’ I’ve been getting more restless my unease will leave me breathless
2 minutes until our first date it won’t be long at any rate to see you IRL for the first time as the Metro’s stairs you climb
1 minute until our first date a new text with an update you said that you arrived you’ll meet with me on time
30 seconds until our first date my butterflies became elate as I glimpsed you at the stairs they began to dance in pairs
0 seconds until our first date at long last I meet you Kate your smile warms my heart like a soothing work of art
