5 Love Poems

Touch
I long to touch you every morning just to know you’re near, I want touch you every chance I get if only to feel you near: your skin against mine your sweat coating my lips.
Kisses and music red wine, summer nights you’re not home yet but I’m sitting here waiting yearning to touch your skin again.

Monday Morning (Wakeup Call)
Morning Monday. Looks so perfect: Sun streams across my face;
Naked wife on the bed . . .
Reality shatters when there comes a knock on the door — Oh shit, her man just came back!

Someplace
I want to go someplace far out to sea someplace for you and me where we can be young and free all the food, clothes and drink we will bring leave the kids with your sis nothing besides the sun above and sand under our feet.
Let us get away from all this here: to someplace where Time knows no fate neither age nor famine will find us there not even midnight nor daylight would care, we will have nothing but our love this love, this ring we be-wed this place where we will stake as ours someplace.

Loving You is a Drug
Loving you is a drug:
I know I should quit you
But the further I stay clear
The more I am desperate to want you near.
Loving you is a black potion
Effervescent, implicit
So much I don’t wish to commit to stay
But here I am again.
Loving you is a hurt I yearn for daily
I lie in bed awaiting your return
You whisper my name
That also comes with your touch.

Desire
When the morning comes you long for me, as the moon takes the place of the sun I long to touch you, you’re so far and away yet so near, I beg you to stay every time I hear your footsteps walk away the longing becomes so hard, this desire of mine when I find the courage to give chase you’re gone, so long.
I know you want me too you ache inside like I do I’ll leave the door unlocked next time I only beg you stay and be mine.
