5 Items Under $100 You Need While Traveling
Take a good look at these five must-haves

Within a week, my sister, Sanne, and I will be traveling to Switzerland. Therefore, we need to prepare a list of things that we will be bringing on our trip.
We don’t have much money, or at least, don’t want to spend much money.
But there are quite some items that can come in handy when you’re out there on your own. Especially in the middle of nowhere or in the middle of the mountains.
Here’s a list of five travel items under $100 that you need.
1. Steady Backpack
Bringing a steady and big travel backpack might be an obvious one. Where are you going to put your stuff if you don’t bring a backpack? Exactly.
Now, I know there are many great backpacks out there, but they are so expensive. But you don’t need to get that expensive.
There are a lot of cheaper alternatives to find.
For example, this lightweight 35-liter backpack is meant for traveling. You can get this one for €29.99.
2. Pocket Knife
Okay, I won’t bring this on my trip, because I don't have one and I want to try and find one in Switzerland. It’s a must-have when you’re going out in the middle of nowhere.
Great knives can get pretty expensive, but if you need a functional one, you can take a look here. You can buy this one for €19.99.
3. Powerbank or Battery Pack
If you’re like me and constantly taking photos and videos or working on a laptop to journal your travel adventures, you might need a power bank or in the case of a laptop, a battery pack.
Just a quick disclaimer: if you’re not having a lightning port on your laptop, this isn’t going to work for you.
But you can always bring a power bank for your phone if you’re a heavy user. If you want this one, you can buy it for €36.99.
4. Clean Water Bottles
If you want to stay hydrated, bring clean water bottles.
You could either, bring your own empty bottle and fill it with water or buy plastic bottles of water, that’s up to you.
I’d bring a self-cleaning bottle that you can refill. For €29.99, you can purchase this one below.
5. Travel Adapters
Okay, this one we figured out while we were already out there. Without a proper travel adapter.
So, we had to get to the shop to buy one in Switzerland and we’ll be using it again in a week. But if you’re lazy and don’t want to buy an adapter for every single country you’re going to visit, buy this universal one for 150+ countries for only €14.44.
