Summary

The article outlines a 1-hour morning routine designed to maximize energy and productivity for the rest of the day.

Abstract

The article discusses the importance of a morning routine for enhancing productivity, emphasizing that a concise 1-hour routine can be more effective than longer routines. It suggests that certainty in daily habits, such as daily exercise or language learning, can be satisfying but may not lead to overall success. Instead, the author advocates for a morning routine that includes activities like breathing exercises, reading, cardio, a cold shower, hydration, a healthy breakfast, coffee, and task planning, which can energize the individual and lead to 15 hours of productive work throughout the day.

Opinions

  • The author believes that success cannot be confined to a narrow time frame and that a daily routine of 2–3–5 hours is not a sufficient measure for success.
  • Human beings are said to crave certainty in their daily habits, but the author suggests that an energizing morning routine is more impactful for a successful day.
  • The author has personally identified activities that boost energy and productivity, implying that individual routines should be tailored to what works best for the person.
  • There is a preference for a balanced approach, where 1 hour is dedicated to energizing activities to enhance the productivity of the remaining 15 hours of wakefulness.
  • The article implies that multiplying certain daily habits by 365 may seem satisfying, but it is not as powerful as a well-spent day initiated by an effective morning routine.

5-Hour Morning Routine for Productivity

I’m about to tell you about a 5-hour morning routine, a secret of billionaires, that will make your days more productive than ever.

“What? I’ll do something for 5 hours and then do more things?” You might say.

You are right.

Habits are valuable things. To transform thoughts into practice, a system needs to be developed. However, you should not expect everything from this system.

Can a daily routine of 2–3–5 hours really be enough to be successful? In my opinion, limiting success to such a narrow time frame belittles success.

Instead, a 1-hour morning routine that energizes you can help make the rest of your hours, whatever you are doing, more successful.

Human beings love certainty. One blog article every day, one hour of exercise every day, one hour of a foreign language every day. And multiplying that by 365 might seem satisfying to you, but there is something stronger and more uncertain. To me, spending the whole day well with an energizing morning routine makes much more sense. If we consider that we spend an average of 16 hours awake, a 1-hour energizing routine can provide 15 hours of success.

I’ve identified the things that give me the most energy and productivity, and when I do these for 1–1.5 hour each day, the rest of the day is much more productive.

  • Breathing exercise (10 min)
  • Reading (20 min)
  • Cardio exercise (20 min)
  • Cold shower
  • 3 liters of water
  • No smoking
  • Healthy and light breakfast
  • Filtered coffee
  • To-do list and work time tracking

And you are ready.

Giving 1 hour a day for 15 hours of productivity is a nice trade-off.
