5 Habits about Those Who Fail in Life (That You Have to Avoid)
These habits don’t guarantee success
“Bad habits are like infection. Inflammation starts from the mouth and weaken the body’s ability.”― Kishore Bansa
You like to be successful. Don’t you, just like every other human being on earth?
You do, right?
Well, that’s great!
Because out of the over seven billion earthly population, there’s no single soul that, when you ask them about success, they will tell you they want to fail.
Everybody wants to be successful. No doubt about that!
But becoming successful requires certain habits.
Have you asked yourself about these habits?
Well, if you have, bravo… You’ve done something that the majority of the population fail to do than to talk of discovering the answers.
Because just as everything on earth has a way by which they come about, becoming successful also does.
And one of the ways to know this is to look at what the unsuccessful people do and avoid them and below are some of them.
Avoidance of responsibility
The first action required for an individual to be successful is their ability to accept responsibility for their lives.
In that, with responsibility for your life, you know that your life depends on you and not anyone. This, therefore, invoke a sense of action in you to go after what you want yourself instead of waiting on somebody — something the majority of the population don’t think about thus neglecting what they must do to achieve success.
But those who succeed — they don’t wait on anyone. This attitude, therefore, makes them look for solutions to their lives problems instead of thinking that their lives are depended on someone — the government.
And unlike those who succeed, those who fail don’t seek solutions to their lives problems and what they want. They always look at the government and the economy for what they want, and if things don’t go as they expect, they whine and complain forgetting that if life is going to be like how they want it, they have to create it and work hard for it. And this attitude of lack of responsibility for their lives is the reason why they fail.
Winston Churchill once said; the price of greatness is responsibility. Yet these people fail to accept responsibility for their lives but want to enjoy success, which is impossible. And it is one habit you want to have in mind and avoid if you want to be successful.
Don’t avoid responsibility for your life.
Complaint about everything
While those who succeed in life know and accept the fact that if their lives are going to be better, it is depended on them and are always looking for solutions to solve their problems, those who fail — fail to recognise this and do the needful.
Instead of focusing on solutions, they are always looking for what’s wrong and complain about it.
They always talk about the economy being this or that. The government not doing things right, today this, tomorrow that but fail to look for solutions to their problems.
This attitude prevents them from seeing opportunities and take advantage of them. They are always scouting for what’s wrong instead of what’s right and will never make an effort to better themselves, which leaves them failing at the end of the day.
Excuses
Success in life comes from taking a set of actions every day, which compounds to be something greater in the end.
Something successful people understand — therefore act on their goals every day and stay consistent and endure the discomfort of the process.
But with the unsuccessful — they never do this.
They look for ways and means to escape what is required and avoid the discomfort that comes with the process and always come up with reasons why something can’t be done.
And as we know, excuses lead to procrastination which results, in zero productivity and frustration — the life of these people are this way.
And this habit often comes about when there isn’t a strong “why” that would require one to take action necessary to enjoy success.
Wrongful use of time
Time discipline, which successful people know that is essential for success and they do everything to ensure the proper use of their time for a better result in their lives, is not something that, those who fail in life do.
Those who fail in life spend their time on things that do not take them towards the direction of their goals. They have no respect for time.
They go through the day doing anything and being everything without being productive. And mostly, this by the fact that they have no vision and purpose that imposes time discipline on them.
That’s why it is highly important to recognise your mission here on earth and have a vision. Because only through that, you will use time effectively.
Hope you are aware of this?
Instant gratification
Becoming successful in this life requires patience, self-control and the ability to put certain things off in the hope of achieving a goal.
And while those who succeed understand this and deny themselves the easy, short term gratifications in order to achieve the long term good life, those who fail, don’t.
They avoid the idea of putting off today’s fun and doing the uncomfortable to achieve a better tomorrow — they like to party and have fun instead of working hard on developing themselves and skills that would help them in the long term.
These people will choose to watch Netflix over reading a book. Watch the football game over practising a new skill and will always avoid that which will make them the kind of people they have to become— the reason for their failures.
And that’s not what you want to do and become.
You want to be successful — so you will do the opposite.
That’s accepting responsibility for your life, avoiding complaints and making excuses, use your time wisely, work hard on yourself and avoid the path of least resistance etc.
You deserve better. you know!
