5 Distractions You Need To Quit In Order To Succeed

If you have ambitious goals but haven't achieved them yet if you have distractions you want to quit and finally start to succeed then this article is for you.
Alright, let’s start. Everyone faces distractions throughout life. Some have small distractions easy to avoid, some already gained toxic habits. Distractions expel us from our goals as a result we rely on our willpower.
Reading this article you may hear ideas you don’t agree with me. It’s totally ok. I appreciate everyone’s point. There are no strict rules for a perfect life, as everyone has their own values.
Today I share with you the 4 worst distractions I quit to succeed n my goals. I haven't included smoking, alcohol, or drugs as it’s quite obvious.
Sugar
We see sugar is everywhere and in every product. Even if the food isn’t sweet, no matter producers add sugar there. It’s scientifically proven that sugar affects our organism in a bad way. After consuming sugar we become addicted to it. We want to eat eat eat again. It’s like drugs.
Ever noticed how difficult to live without sugar for just 2 days?
It’s very important to understand how sugar affects our body and overall psychology. Here are the consequences we get after consuming sugar for a long time.

Some tips on how to reduce your intake of sugar
- Swap sodas, energy drinks, juices for water, or unsweetened seltzer.
- Consume whole fruits instead of sugar-sweetened smoothies.
- Replace ketchup and mayonnaise with natural souces.
- Replace candy with a homemade trail mix of fruit, nuts, and a few dark chocolate chips.
It’s been a year since I reduced sugar intake. I’d not say I reduced sugar 100% percent, but I’m still working on it trying to find natural alternatives to sugar.
The best thing I identified after quitting sugar is that I don’t catch the fever. And small health issues I overcome easily.
Social Media
Social media is a big concept and to say it’s good or bad isn't fair. But what is evident is that most people are addicted to it. All we do is seating and scrolling. We see likes comments and our brain produces Serotonin. Serotonin is a hormone of happiness and our body understands that by using social media we become happy. As a result, we get addicted.
The worst consequence of using social media is clip thinking. But what is clip thinking? There are lots of scientific definitions of clip thinking, but in easy words, clip thinking is something that doesn't let us be focused. It’s a state when we easily become tired to do one activity for a “long time”.
Did you notice you want to read an article and suddenly you get tired and can't even read half of the article?
The reason is that you use social media, you scroll, you don't read long texts and paragraphs. All you do is just read one two-word headline. Thus using social media we acquire clip thinking.
Especially when you use TikTok.
Now when I researched social media and how they affect us, I deleted my Tiktok and Instagram at once. Now I use only Linkedin and Facebook for business goals.
Sexual (for guys)
Nature gifted us a huge power of sexual attraction. We guys are responsible for reproduction. Today when we live in a comfortable world, we have a lot of opportunities, but not all opportunities make us better.
When our grandfathers wanted to see a naked girl, they worked hard for that, they were wild, they had the energy to act. But in our society, to see a naked girl we just need to enter a porn website. This is very bad as our brain and body understand as if we see the real naked girl. As a result of watching porn, wasting our gifted energy we become sleepy for the whole day. Without energy to do anything.
We kill our huge power of sexual attraction, we kill our motivation by watching porn.

Mobile and video games
Before I was playing mobile games a lot. Especially shooters. But over time I understood how much time I lose every day. I even couldn't work hard at that time. working I was thinking about the game, I wanted to play again as I was game addicted.
Games are created perfectly. We see voice and video effects, we see how cool it is. But that’s again an illusion we should avoid.
I deleted all my games from my phone. It was very hard without games. Especially first days. I didn't feel good, I have so much time but nothing to do.
Over time I could overcome. Now I feel I have become free. My mind is finally resting. And I understood I have tons of time. Now I can train physically, can meditate. I can do anything I want, as I have more free time.
I understood that in order to achieve my goals I need to cut all distractions I have. No matter how difficult it is.
Bad environment
If you have ambitious goals and at the same time you are surrounded by losers, you’ll never succeed. You are the average of people you contact. So if you have big and ambitious goals you need to find ambitious and successful people. You need to refresh your network, get rid of toxic people, and identify masterminds.
In theory, everything is easy, but in reality, it’s difficult. I understand you totally but sooner or later, as soon as you realize this you have to make a decision.
Conclusion
Often we feel sleepy, tired without motivation to act. It’s not natural. We subconsciously, with our lifestyle made us weak. Living in a comfort. Having every opportunity in life, we’re seduced by easy pleasure.
Easy and short-term pleasures are destructive for our bodies and mentality. Today I tried to help you identify what concepts and how they make you weaker expelling you from goals.
If you overcome all these destructive habits in the end you’ll have the unlimited motivation to act. You decide to do things, you just do without difficulties. You become a machine full of energy.
