Six months ago, I started my 7th or so Tik Tok account. I love Tik Tok. And I’ve created many different accounts for various niches from money-making and side hustles to Amazon products, content creators/brand deals education, website flipping and more.

Faceless Tik Tok accounts are good for people who are introverted or shy.

Maybe they don’t want to show their face to millions of people online or they want to stay anonymous so their family and friends don’t find them on the web.

Whatever the reason, going faceless can help you build an online presence, share your message, cultivate a following and make money online using Tik Tok.

Here are 6 steps I took to create my faceless Tik Tok account to a $60,000/year side hustle..

Zero to $60K in 6 Months

It sounds clickbaity I know but, it’s the truth. Here’s what I did to get here.

First, some background real quick.

I’m not new to social media. I have worked as a creator and I’ve worked as brand on social for years.

I’ve built accounts to nearly 100K on Instagram, over 100K on Tik Tok, over 300K on YouTube, you get the idea.

The year is coming to a close and I thought it’d be interesting to share how much Tik Tok paid me this year in 2021.

Ok, now let’s get to it…

Step 1: Pick a niche

Pick a niche. I think if you can hone in on a particular category to tackle on Tik Tok, you will have a better chance of success, though general lifestyle creators do well too.

Niching down is easier, in my opinion.

Examples of niches:

Travel
Food
Kids
Making money
Finance

These niches are all pretty broad and you can niche them down even further if you’d like.

For example, in the travel niche, this creator decided to focus on Texas-only travel during the pandemic and grew to over 1 million followers.

For the finance and money niche, you could niche down to couponing.

One of my finance Tik Tok accounts does credit tips and grant spotting, and grew to 23K followers pretty fast.

Tons of ways you can get more specific.

Also, think about how you will want to monetize your Tik Tok account eventually. I see tons of huge Tik Tok accounts that are not making money.

Why?

Because their niche is tough to monetize. It doesn’t have to be impossible to monetize but difficult enough that it’s prevented them from taking action.

In this first step, consider what your end goal is.

Do you want to make $100K per year on Tik Tok?

Are you trying to bring in clients to your social media management business or sell your digital products?

Is your goal to get brand deals or sell e-commerce products?

Think about this now as it’ll play a role in what niche you pick for your Tik Tok account.

This is the first step to building a full-time side hustle with Tik Tok.

Step 2: Decide on your content style

Next, you want to decide on your content style.

Will you do screenshots and voiceover?

Are you going to demo a product in your hands?

Will you go vlogging style without showing your face?

Choose how you will be producing your content and then move onto step 3. Note that you can mix up your content style, you don’t have to film in one style.

Step 3: Look at the competition

In step 3 you’re going to be spying on the competition. Look at what competitors in your niche are doing.

Find faceless accounts and see what types of their content do well, where do they shine, what is their audience asking for, etc.

You can use this to create similar content but better.

It’s like the skyscraper method but for Tik Tok content creation.

Step 4: Develop a content plan

Your content plan is where you sit down and decide:

How many videos you’ll be creating daily/weekly?
What links will you promote in your bio?
How much time will you be able to dedicate to this project?

You can literally get a calendar and jot down what videos you’ll post when. Then start creating your videos.

Step 5: Make videos

No fancy video equipment needed here.

Using a phone is good enough and I personally think if you use your phone or mobile device with the Tik Tok app installed, it’s better than uploading drafts to the app from your computer or phone.

Tik Tok likes real, authentic content.

They like you to use their app to make your video, use their tools, filters, and music.

And it’s better if it’s not perfect and polished. Tik Tokers like to hear from real people and they like for it to look like you created a video in your bedroom and not in a film studio.

Make sense?

Keep this in mind when you make your videos.

I personally use my phone and tablet.

Step 6: Monetize

Lastly, it’s time to monetize. You already know how you will monetize. You decided this in step 1.

Now it’s time to execute and take action.

For brand deals

Put your email in your bio
Use a beacons link in your bio and share multiple links
Do cold outreach to your favorite brands to work together in a Tik Tok campaign

Yes, and to be honest, creators and make MUCH MORE than this.

Tori Dunlap (herfirst100K) on Tik Tok has 2 million followers and makes $100,000/month!

My journey on Tik Tok with a bit over 60,000 followers now only took 6 months but in month 2 I was up to around $1,000/month (or $12K/year).

By the end of the year I hope to be at $100K/year with this account.
