Prompt Response: Alice, Micro Fiction
Alice Wonders what her Future Holds with this Gypsy Man
Fortunes Told: A thief, who stole young women’s hearts, while his was owned by another…

There he was again, staring right at her. His wagon and strawberry roan mare parked on the green. Alice blushed and averted her eyes, his after-image engraved upon her mind. Determined to speak to him yet rooted to the spot.
Moving slowly, deliberately towards her, his slender, loose hips swaggered in heavy blue jeans.

Persuasively, he beckoned. Curious, she followed.
There was a sign over the door — Fortunes told.
The air inside the caravan was hazy — Alice squinted to help her eyes adjust.
Gesturing for her to sit, he passed her a small vial of gold fluid and nodded. Alice felt compelled to swallow the nectar, and immediately she could see through the dim surround, noticing his white, frayed shirt contrasted against his swarthy complexion. Her eyes finally came to rest on his red neckerchief, loosely tied, while a loop earring tangled in with his wavy, black hair.
He stroked her palm with long slender fingers, one adorned by a thick gold band.
Looking into his whisky coloured eyes, his generous mouth curved in a smile and Alice inexplicably had a vision. Rather than him predicting her future, she saw his… A thief, who stole young women’s hearts while his was owned by another. The same hand that held hers caressing soft curves. She could almost smell the musty aroma of sex as she saw him exploring the woman’s plump, wet folds.
Transfixed and alarmed by this insight, she ran towards the door, the face of the girl had startled her —
Alice had recognised herself.
