4 Weird Misconceptions About Money
I am sick of those who say money can’t buy happiness!
Two of my friends remained sincere with me all my life.
They have never left me since my childhood. Now, when I am an adult and busy earning my livelihood, they often slip out of my presence and are gradually parting ways with me. But they never leave me completely.
Do you wonder who those friends can be?
Let me say their names here. They are Anger and Sadness.
They didn’t leave me because I was starved by the poverty and deprivation of my parents. I looked at the things people have and only wished I could have them.
I lived all my life looking at others’ kids who were having everything even though none of them were as beautiful or smart as I was.
This is the fact.
I had one enemy who would attack me very rarely in life. That enemy was happiness.
And there is a reason happiness is not happy with me.
We had strained relationships with each other. I rarely stumbled upon happiness and she didn’t visit me even if the fields were clearly open for her. This is because I was unable to afford even happiness.
Then I grew up among these rubbish morals and ethics of the preachers and elders that money is the root of all evils. Money is not everything. Poors are loved by God and many other unearthly and stupid things.
Yes, money may not help some in many ways. But I will just tell you what money can do for you and why you should not fall into the trap of people who say that money isn’t everything.
Yes, money isn’t everything. But everything needs money.
When I grew up and started earning. Happiness viewed me as a potential client to visit. The more I earned the more she came to my lap. I lived a happy life.
There was a time when happiness prolonged her visits and I was happy that she has come to stay in my life and won’t leave me again.
But very soon I was awakened to the dark reality one morning that she has left me because I was broke.
A financial tragedy broke my relationship with happiness. This event affected my relationship with my partner, siblings, and parents. I was viewed and felt that I was nothing.
Suddenly I lost my prestige and was fallen down from the position I held earlier.
So, I say it from my personal experience, people really hold weird misconceptions about money which you should avoid at all costs to live a better life.
Here are the four misconceptions about the money you should know.
1. Money Can’t Buy Happiness
Really?
I hate those who say money can’t buy happiness. I love my daughter and my wife more than myself. I am working twice my capabilities and pushing every limit to get more money to let my wife and daughter buy things they love.
Why?
Because it makes them happy to buy their loved things. And when they are happy, I am super happy.
So, I buy happiness with money. When I lack money, I become resentful and angry at myself.
I even turn to be bad at them sometimes, because I can’t do for them what they need.
So, MONEY BUY HAPPINESS, YOU HEAR THAT!
2. Money Can’t Buy Love
AHA! another great lie.
It’s been a greater lie I have ever heard.
Yes, people who love each other always wish to stay together. But most of the time, lack of money makes it a problem.
Either you love don’t want to be with them because you are broke or because they have other ambitions that can’t be fulfilled if you happened to be with them. They sacrifice love for goals because it sometimes feels like a good decision.
So, if you are wealthy, your love would not give a single thought about leaving you. Because they will know that you have the resources that can help them do everything. And more than that, they know that they will live happily with their love.
3. Money Can’t Change Mood
Who said that?
When I have more money, I am happy and my mood is brilliantly good. When I don’t have money, my mood sucks.
Why?
Because I think about school fees for my children, buy things for them, taking them out for eating and other things.
So, lack of money compels my mind to think and switch off my energy cable.
Money is the current that keeps my mood vibrant and happy.
4. Money can’t give you freedom
I have even heard people who say money can’t give freedom.
Oppps!
Money is all freedom.
When you have a lot of money, you get free of many tensions.
You can afford the best cars, helicopters, and private jets.
You can live in any country in the world because you have money and every country wants rich people to live in their country because they can invest in their economies.
Think of freedom and money have it for you. That’s it.
Final words
The best thing is that one should love humanity more than anything and be a helpful and supportive human being.
But only that doesn’t work.
You have to have some value to be supportive of other human beings.
Money is that value that can help you to support people, buy happiness, get the best education, stay with your love, and lightens up your mood.
So, earn money. Earn a lot. That’s a good thing.
But make it a means to spread happiness and love with it.
