4 Ways to Wake Up Happier and More Energetic.
It is possible to wake up more happily and efficiently.
When you open your eyes to the day, don’t you get out of bed? Have you thought why I’m starting the day so tired and reluctant?
Our activities during the day and our habits before sleeping at night significantly affect our sleep quality. If you are tired of starting the day with reluctance, it is time to review your sleep patterns and daily thoughts.
In this article, we will talk about what preparation we should make for happier and productive mornings.
Realize how you feel when you wake up
Everyone’s morning routine is unique. Mine is getting up as early as possible. According to my observations, I feel happier when I wake up early. Paying attention to what mood we wake up in the morning makes the rest of the day easier.
It’s also important that what we do in the first 10 minutes after we wake up. Are we reaching for the phone when we wake up? Or do we lie down comfortably and think about our dreams?
There is a pretty big difference between these two. If you are looking at your phone for the first time when you wake up, this makes you more sensitive to everything you will encounter in the opening minutes of the day. You may be upset by seeing a piece of news and not be able to catch the same motivation for the rest of the day.
On the other hand, when you wake up, allowing yourself to gather some energy, It makes you a completely different mood. In the first minutes I wake up, I think about my dreams and give myself some time. For a long day, this is a mandatory thing.
Night routine is everything.
The secret of energetic waking up in the morning is about creating an efficient night routine. It is important what we pay attention to before going to sleep. Leaving the phone at least 2 hours before bedtime, staying away from sweets, and not thinking about anything is on the list of must-have for sleep quality. Apart from these classic suggestions, we can increase sleep quality in more creative ways.
You can start creating a quality night routine with these steps:
- Keep your attention when you fall asleep. If you can’t wake up early in the morning, you can try pulling your bedtime 5 minutes earlier every night.
- To make it easier to fall asleep ( and of course to stay away from the phone), put a favorite book on your bedside and read up to 10 pages before going to sleep.
- Drinking herbal tea close to your sleeping time, and listening to soft music also helps you relax.
Also, according to an article I read in Huffington Post, which side of the bed you sleep on is also among the factors that determine the quality of sleep.

Focus on your breath as soon as you start the day
Breathing is something we do automatically, but by using it correctly, we can have the power to change our entire life.
Breath is life.
I agree with this sentence in many ways.
I can overcome my stress level, headaches, and many other problems during the day by using my breath correctly. Some time ago, I read the little book of mindfulness. Thanks to this book, I started to look at ‘’breathing’’ with a different eye.
The book proposes to expand our breath and regulate our mood:
Take a deep breath first. Deep breathing expands the lungs, which then sends a direct message to your heart, which in turn starts beating slower. Take a moment a get closer to your breath. Is it shallow or deep, slow or fast, smooth or rough, regular, or irregular? If you explore your breathing with this curiosity, you will get a good insight into where you are right now.
Don’t leave home without breakfast.
Breakfast is known as ‘’the golden meal of the day’’. I become more happy, energetic, and productive when I start the day by eating something healthy. The reason for this is that my mind works more efficiently, depending on the nutrient quality it receives.
But vice versa, if I start working without breakfast, I can’t focus on anything. Impatiently waiting for my lunch, and I’m grumpily refreshing my email list every 10 minutes.
If you are hurrying out of the house in the morning, and you feel like an exhausted phone on the halfway, yes, you need that breakfast urgently.
In summary, while starting the day positively and efficiently is vital to continue working, the time we devote to ourselves is more important. That’s why we create the happiness of the next day every day. By treating ourselves well.
