4 Phrases We Want To Say At Work But We Do Not Dare

I know what you’re thinking

Every person’s work environment is an integral part of his life. Without a doubt, the workplace affects everyone to the extent that it allows it to happen.

There are some phrases or thoughts if you will, that we would very much like to say. After all, as rational beings we are, before we speak — at least that should be done — we think about the consequences of what we say. Or maybe not?

What if they told you that tomorrow you go to work and say what you want? If they gave you the opportunity to express yourself the way you want, always within reasonable limits? What would you say and to whom? Hold on strength because I already feel some of your thoughts are coming to the surface and follow the flow of the text. After all, that is its purpose. Let’s see together 4 of the many things we would like to say in our workplace but we don’t.

1. “Does it write somewhere on my forehead that I suffer from stupidity?”

The fact that some may consider us stupid does not mean that we are. Colleagues who go to take advantage of you asking for favors or throwing more obligations on your shoulders. People from your workplace may think that you will not matter, due to good manners and unimaginable patience.

2. “Can I leave right now?”

When everyone swells you for something. When everything looks like a mountain. When you realize that you and the job you have chosen have no future. When you realize that the cord is tight and you want oxygen due to pressure and stress, then this thought is the only one that will release you in the moment.

3. “This is not my job”

This is our thought the moment we are assigned or asked to do something that is not our part at work — I know it has happened to you too. Many times we end up undertaking much more than we were initially told we would do.

4. “I want and deserve a salary rise”

The queen of every other thought we make in our workplace is that of rising. Of course, having the knowledge in ourselves that we do deserve the rise. And when we know that we deserve it, to ask for it, to demand it, not to compromise, not to stay with the less because they taught us that we deserve it.

Workplaces are like palaestra. Sometimes they want moves of courage and sometimes a step back, to let the intentions of others be revealed. The above phrases are in the minds of many of us. Some may never be said. Some may be said. The point is to weigh the circumstances properly and know who we are from the beginning. And if we said something more, do not rush to judge us.
