4 Daily Habits of Truly Happy People
You spend time with warm people.

“Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.” ~ Mahatma Gandhi.
Happiness is something we all strive for. Everyone wants to be happy. It’s the feeling of ecstasy and being fully content with your current life.
Happy people are contagious. Their happiness is spreading around other people.
I don’t remember who said this. I think it was Rhonda Byrne in her recent YouTube videos. This is what I’ve heard before: Happiness is not something you find, happiness is something that starts within you first.
Another thing, you can’t show anger to someone and expect a happy response back. It doesn’t work like that.
I’ll say, show happiness and positive vibes to those who are being good to you, and less to those who are mean to you, even if they need kindness because they grew up with no love.
If you’re curious about the habits that happy people apply, this is the spot for you.
These habits will give you the idea of what happy people apply daily.
You Spend Time With Warm People.
“Good company in a journey makes the way seem shorter.” ~ Izaak Walton.
This means you avoid the ones who bring a dark cloud over your head and crush your spirit.
You know you are the writer of your own story. You decide who you want to cast in your story and who has been rejected if they failed your requirements such as honesty, loyalty, and positive vibe.
You love being in warm company with the ones you care about. People’s company helps you to feel seen and heard. “If you don’t get seen and heard, you become sick.” One of my loved ones quoted this from another source and it made sense to me.
I mean it makes sense. You spend time with someone abusive and you start to become ill and miserable. If you spend time with healthy people, you become healthy – And happy.
This has been my experience. We, humans, crave human connection with those who understand us. When I spend time with someone who understands me, I feel happier and there is something meaningful in my life.
How To Apply.
- Be aware of who makes you feel miserable or better. Hold on to those you have a special connection with. Write down the good qualities of the people you like as a reminder of their good side.
“I am surrounded by the best people in my life.”
You Turn The Negativity Into Positivity.
Don’t be pushed around by the fears in your mind. Be led by the dreams in your heart. ~ Roy T. Bennett.
It never hurt anyone to challenge their thoughts. You see negative thoughts as a challenge to stay confident in who you are, no matter what.
We’ve been programmed to live with limiting beliefs from an early age. The good thing is you can re-raise yourself with a new mindset. It’s never too late. You are quick to stop yourself if you go on a spiral. You are highly aware of your thought pattern.
Happy people don’t react to their negative thoughts. You’re fine with feeling sad but not fine with talking bad about yourself. You never let any destructive thoughts define who you really are. Because you know you’re worthy of everything.
This can become tricky at first because you’re so used to having destructive thoughts. The more you revise your destructive thoughts into a healthy ones, you start to control your thoughts better and not take everything as the truth.
You may think that having thoughts about being worthy is a lie, but thinking you’re unworthy is a lie as well. — Which one do you choose?
How To Apply Being Better.
- Remember to revise a thought from “This is very difficult.” into “This is very easy.” Become disciplined in your mental diet just like with your food diet. It’s good training to get used to the new mindset.
“I am fearless and deserve the best in the world.”
You Are Spending Time In Nature.
Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better. ~ Albert Einstein.
You make sure to get the daily dose of sunlight. You come home with new ideas and are full of positive energy. You feel like a brand new person. There is wisdom in nature.
Trees can teach you to stand tall whenever you experience thunder in your life because everything is temporary. Nature reminds you of how beautiful life can be. It helps us to reduce stress because we are in a calm environment where you don’t have to hurry anything but enjoy the moment.
I always feel like a brand new person after spending time in nature and getting away from the city for a few hours just by being in a park full of trees.
Psychology.com has mentioned this: “sunlight prompts the release of serotonin, which can improve mood and cognitive function and also contributes to a normative sleep cycle.”
How To Apply.
- Try to spend two hours in nature once per week. It helps to improve your mood for the rest of the week, it did for me. Be kissed by the sun as long as you have the opportunity.
“The sun on my face warms me and gives me strength.”
You Study Happiness Daily.
“Talking about our problems is our greatest addiction. Break the habit. Talk about your joys.” ~ Rita Schiano.
Happy people have invested in their time studying about living a good life instead of wasting their time on useless things.
The more you study happiness, the more you understand how emotions work. It helps you to not feed on what makes you annoyed.
You start to understand what makes you happy and miserable. You like hearing stories of how other people define happiness as it gives you a broad perspective about it.
I’ve slowly come to understand happiness when I read “The Secret” and books like “You Can Heal Your Life.” by Louise L. Hay who talks about the importance of self-love. These books were a great introduction to my journey.
How To Apply.
- Find some useful self-help books about the journey to happiness. Listen to people like monks. Write down a list of what makes you happy.
“My knowledge is becoming wisdom.”
The Final Thoughts.
Happiness is being with people who add light to your life. It’s about having a routine that puts you in a happy mood. When you do what you love, you start to heal.
We spend years and years trying to find love, to find happiness in the outer world when it has really been in us all the time. If you want to change in your life, start within yourself first.
All you need to know.
1. Spend time with warm people. 2. Turn the negative into the positive. 3. Spend more time in nature. 4. Start to study happiness.
Take your time to adjust these habits.
Remember, the biggest issue you can make is to study things that can improve your life but not do anything to apply them. Some people are good at agreeing with self-improvement statements but don’t apply them and are still stuck in the same bad habit.
The truth is, I’m only sharing what has worked for me and how I come to understand these things. You can agree to disagree and take what I said with a gram of salt. As long as you put yourself in a happy environment, you’re on the right track.
The more you learn the more you free your mind.
