4 Benefits Of Daily To-Do List to Manage Your Time
Today’s the time to change your tomorrow (Day:- 2)
Greetings,
This is the second prompt of the “Time Management” theme. As I said in my previous post, that time is precious and we have to use it wisely as like we are spending money.
“Time is the coin of your life. It is the only coin you have, and only you can determine how it will be spent. Be careful lest you let other people spend it for you”.
-Carl Sandburg
Don’t let others waste your time. Spend your time with the people who matter in your life.
The very first thing to manage your time is, to learn how to manage your day first. To manage your day, you have to schedule your day so that you have a clear outline of where are you spending your time in a day.
Therefore, you have to make a daily to-do list. It works like magic. I am trying it for a long time. If you are the person who is always struggling to not miss the deadlines for big projects then a “To-do list” will help you out.
Sometimes, we just forget the important task and it will ruin our entire day, week, or maybe a month. If you are a person who appears unfocused and unreliable, then you need to make a to-do list. When you make a To-do list, there is no chance that you will miss out on any task.
‘My general attitude to life is to enjoy every minute of every day. I never do anything with a feeling of, “Oh God, I’ve got to do this today”.
-Richard Branson
After reading this quote, I remember that guilt that I felt at night after having a not so productive day. I just hate that feeling. If you want to sleep at night without that guilt then, it’s time to use every second of your day.
Here are some of the benefits of making a to-do list.
- You have a rough structure of your day
When you have a to-do list ready for your next day, you have a rough outline of your next day. Your mind gets clarity of what are the important tasks you need to fulfill. This will help you to stay calm and not be anxious at your workplace.
2. You will be in a good mental state
When you know about the tasks and your entire day, you will not feel stressed because you have already allotted a regular amount of time to each task.
You don’t feel depressed and worried. If you will be in a good mood, you will be able to do your work in a good manner.
3. Boosts your productivity
When a person is happy, he is ready to do everything. You don’t like to work when you are tired, anxious, and angry. Therefore, if you have your entire day planned it will overall boost your productivity.
4. Helps you to never miss a deadlines
If you don’t easily remember the big tasks and projects, then you must have to make a to-do list because it will help you to never miss deadlines. A To-do list will help you to beat the workload. It will help you to be focused and on your task.
Today’s prompt is,
Make a list of all the chores you need to perform. If the tasks are vast, separate the first action step and write it down beside the larger assignment. (Tasks or action steps should be completed in no more than 1-2 hours.)
Once, you make the lists and finish your entire day then mark a tick in front of every task that you fulfilled during a day. It will give satisfaction and happiness that you had a productive day.
Believe me, that’s the fantastic feeling in this world.
I would like to end this post with one of my favorite quotes.
“Know the true value of time; snatch, seize, and enjoy every moment of it. No idleness, no laziness, no procrastination: never put off till tomorrow what you can do today”.
-Philip Stanhope, 4th Earl of Chesterfield
Work your ass off, and seize the day.
