300 Words 01/20/2024 | Gone in 60 Seconds!

It’s 8:12 now can I get this done in 30 minutes or less?

Hey All,

I am writing right now under a time crunch. It’s Friday night and I still need to get 300 words out. So I’ve set myself a challenge.

Can I write this story in under 30 minutes. I started the story at 8:12PM MST. You can check my clock.

Okay it’s actually 8:15PM now, but it was 8:12 I swear. P.S. This is a screenshot of my clock on my computer

So you see I’ve been grinding hard over the past few days. Don’t believe me check out this post.

I’ve loved every second of it, but I need to take a break to spend some time with my family.

In order for me to do that I must keep my streak of writing on Medium alive. Hence the Gone in 60 Seconds theme tonight. I want to be in and out without fuss.

Also, I love the cars in the movie Gone in 60 Seconds so it seems like a fitting theme.

So will I be gone in 60 seconds? I guess we will find out soon enough.

Enough about me and the clock.

Where is your value?

Here are three pieces of wisdom that I live by.

  1. I was going to put a Bruce Lee Quote here, but I found this article full of them. It’s too good not to share. Seriously check it out. I really like quotes 3–6 at the moment.
  2. You can’t go wrong with Kindness. I live by this rule. Being kind is seriously one of the most underrated traits you can posses. It can open more doors that you can ever imagine, and nothing feels better than having someone return the kindness in an unexpected moment. (I’ve lived this on X since May, and I can absolutely tell you it is the best thing for you if it comes from a place of needing nothing in return.)
  3. Think positive sum theory. I could dive into a whole article on this topic, but I’ll be brief. Positive sum theory is the idea that both parties can and should win in an interaction. The way I like to apply this is by giving without seeking anything in return.

Thank you for your time and reading this far.

Regards,

Jeff

And time……

Well that’s not too shabby. It’s pretty cool what you can do when you put your mind to it. Again this is a photo of my computer clock.
