300+ views on Medium as New Writer.
The Journey of becoming Top Writer.
I know that 300 views are way less than, those old writers get. But, its been roughly 2 weeks, I am posting on Medium. I am using my nickname and many of my connections don’t know about my Medium stories. Hence, I started with 0 followers, 0 views and most importantly I am not a professional writer. I have never written any book. Writing is my hobby and I have a completely different profession (Software Development).
So, for me, 300 views from scratch seems a good deal. As I keep saying money never mattered to me, nor it will in future. I want new writers like me to grow on Medium. Let’s show the old writers that, fan following never mattered. What matters is the quality of writing and passion that we new writers have.
In 2 weeks, I gained more than 96 followers, which is highest among all the new writers out there. I think people love quality content rather than stories filled with more than 1000 words.
For me reality means everything. So I am sharing my True stats In cover image of this story.
Now, I am starting a new journey of Becoming the so called Top Writer on medium. I think my followers must join me in this journey. I know there will be many ups and downs, but trust me the journey will be fun.
Currently, I have some strategies I would like to share with New Writers who wants to start the same journey with me and end up becoming Top writers.
Strategy 1 :
Select some best tags to become top writers in it. I am selecting some awesome tags like,
- Life Lessons.
- Personal Development.
- Story of my life.
- Life skills.
- Writers on writing.
I will keep posting quality articles in these tags. People should get good content to read. I will not post articles for money rather I will keep posting to help 100s of people out there who need my advise.
Strategy 2 :
Quality over quantity.
As mentioned earlier, post valuable stuff only. People deserve good articles to read rather than some click baits.
New writers assume, posting anything will become them rich and they will get thousands of followers instantly. You are mistaken my friend. People will only follow you if they are interested In your articles. So post only quality content.
This are 2 strategies I will be using for 1 week. I think these strategies will help me in growing.
At the end, people deserve quality content. We owe there time. Be a writer for the people. Followers love is much greater than few bucks.
