There is this platform called TikTok, I don’t know if you’ve heard of it. Just joking, of course, everybody knows TikTok.

A recent statistic showed that teens between 18 and 22 spend around 92 minutes PER DAY on the platform. The average user spends 15 seconds on a video, so that’s roughly 208 videos per day per user. CRAZY!

There is no wonder people with no previous followers became viral after only a couple of videos. TikTok’s algorithm makes it very easy to gain a lot of traction without ads and other paid advertisements.

In only the last couple of years, TikTok became a worldwide sensation. At a point, they registered 10.000.000 new users PER DAY. So with the increased popularity, TikTok started to surpass other social media platforms like META’s Facebook and Instagram.

Because TikTok is the most used platform for video sharing, the team at META( headed by Mark Zuckerberg) decided to do something about it. They need to make their platforms more interesting. Plain photos and text posts are boring, the fad is now around short videos.

So that’s what they’ll do.

They said they plan to invest over 1 Billion $ in bonuses for reel content that gets more than 1000 views in 30 days.
