3 Ways to Solve any Problem and I Mean any Problem in Life!
No matter the problem- broken relationships, health challenges, world problems, etc these three ways will help immensely.
Let's face it — problems big and small are part of life and are here to stay.
The only people that don't have problems are the ones in the cemetery and who knows what the other side of life holds.
I want to focus on this side of life — the living and in particular the issue of problems and how to deal with them.
As a human being reading this you'll have problems in life both big and small.
I have come to believe that 99.9 % of the time it's not the problems that cause us so much stress and heartache but rather the lack of know-how.
That is how to solve them or at least manage them.
As a result, we get stuck and go round and round in circles and come to loathe problems.
Even if you have the mindset of viewing your problems as opportunities the fact remains they are still there.
But I want to share with you three highly practical and highly actionable strategies to help you with dealing with problems.
These have been life-changing for me and I think they will be for you too once you start to imply them.
These can be applied to just about any problem big or small:
- Global warming
- Conflicts in the world
- Health conditions
- Money issues
- Work Issues
- Relationship problems
- Having nice eyebrows ( okay it's a first-world problem but still!)
The list goes on
Why not add your problem here the most pressing one at least

And then get to work on solving it with the following three hacks:
1. Bob Proctors’ Problem Solving Method
This highly creative way of solving problems I learned from the late Bob Proctor who in my eyes is the greatest teacher of human potential. Apparently, Bob got this method from one of his mentors Earl Nightengale. This method requires you to use your imagination and to have an open mind. It has to be one of the most creative ways I've come across in solving problems. Im in love with it and perhaps you will be too. Here it is:
Write out your problem clearly ( best to take one problem at a time) on a piece of paper and place it in the center of your desk. Look at it and invoke the energy of people ( do one person at a time) you admire both from history and from now and ask “how would so and so look at this problem”? Be patient and take your time with this exercise. Do it a few times.
You’ll find that the problem starts to shift as you start to get the perception of the person you invoke. It's highly creative. Give it a try — you can invoke leaders of the past you admire, famous people, and even your dead wise grandma.
Just the other morning I did this with a problem and got into the energy of Bob Proctor, Walt Disney, and even Jane Seymour ( aka Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman). Long story about her, won't get into it here but she gave me some highly useful advice about my issue.
2. Go to Someone Who Has Already Solved the Problem
Go to someone that has already struggled with the problem your facing and get their strategy on how they solved it.
Remember that no problem is unique or new.
People have had it before and if they haven't you can still find someone who has had a similar problem to yours.
Using this strategy world leaders can go to other leaders that have solved what they want to solve, directors of companies can do this by going to other companies that have done what they want to do. The list goes on!
You can do this with any problem no matter how trivial, small or large.
Getting someone’s strategy is a sure way to fast-track your way to success and solve problems in life.
Along with people that are alive people that are dead as Bob Proctor’s method demonstrates can also be of great use to you as well.
The thinkers, innovators, leaders, scientists, inventors, etc of the past have left records of how they did what they did.
For instance, I use the ideas of Bob Proctor, Napoleon Hill, and Carl Jung in my life to aid my personal growth. They are dead but their ideas are not.
So it helps to ask the million-dollar question when faced with a problem:
Who else in the history of the world has had this problem and solved it?
Remember a lot of people including not-so-famous people that have had your problem have left a record of it — in Books, Apps, YouTube, Online Courses, Online Forums, Socia Media groups, etc.
I have a saying that I use “Google it, Bing it, App it, Read it!”
You’ll be amazed at the resources you find to help you created by people with your exact problem or at least a similar problem.
3. Turn your Problem into a Goal
If you study a lot of people that are mission-driven in life you’ll see that often their problems fuel their mission.
It's the problem that gives them the mission in the first place.
For instance, victims of abuse who dedicate their life to eliminating abuse. The problem is the abuse and the mission becomes eliminating abuse.
Some famous examples of people who turned their problems into goals are:
Bruce Lee — turned his problem of being severely bashed into becoming a martial artist and protecting himself and others from attacks.
Malala Yousafzai — turned her problem of being shot by the Taliban into a global cause to fight for women’s education.
Sara Blakley — turned her problem of not having the right undergarment to give a smooth look under her white pants into a multi-billion dollar empire- Spanx.
I am not famous like the above people but will share my example:
I turned my mum’s recent colon cancer diagnosis into a goal of getting my mother and myself to become healthier and learn all I can about cancer.
By doing this I turn a problem into a stepping stone for success.
I believe that this is the true alchemy of life.
Remember the role of an alchemist is to transform things for the better.
Most people focus on their problems but your focus should be on transforming and solving them. This is where the power lies.
By turning your problem into a goal you automatically do this and it shifts your whole focus and perspective.
You can do this with just about any problem life presents you as the examples above illustrate and many more others that are not covered here.
Bonus Tip /Hack— Before going off to sleep hand over your problem to your subconscious mind. I learned this from Joseph Murray in his classic book The Power of Your Subconscious Mind. Just before drifting off to sleep tell your subconscious mind, “I need your help with XYZ — — -so please show me the answer. Trust that the answer will come. It could come in a dream or as an insight upon waking up or later in the day.
Try this method a few times to test it out. Dont just do it once and then say it doesn't work. It does! I should know as I came up with my business name for my writing business: The Write Way doing this method.
Apparently, Henry Ford, William James, Carl Jung, and Freud all used this method.
So give it a go.
I hope you put these three ways/strategies and the bonus one to work for you when faced with problems no matter how big or small.
I should also make a quick mention of prayer given that Im a woman of faith who believes in GOD.
That is to say, that prayer is also a powerful tool to employ when faced with problems.
But if your not religious that’s totally okay. Just stick to the other methods mentioned. They dont require you to have any religious faith.
They have helped me immensely and I know they can help you too.
I only write what has been tried and tested in my life that works.
I honestly believe these methods can be used for all problems even really serious ones like the war in Ukraine, global warming, the Israel- Palestine conflict, the death of a loved one, severe illness, you name it.
The reason why these problems seem so insurmountable is because of the intensity of emotions that get in the way and ego that makes it hard to see another way.
My wish is that these ways would be used for such serious problems.
In fact, I ask that you please share this piece with others if what I've written here has resonated with you.
Please put these ways to use for you when dealing with problems and inspire others to do the same.
That way we will have more empowered people when faced with problems.
That's my heartfelt wish for this piece, more than just you simply liking and clapping for it.
Share it so others benefit from these methods.
I'd love for you to reach out to me personally and tell me if these methods help you with a problem or problems your facing.
