Your Emotional Well-Being Should Be A Goal In Itself Even As You Work On Other Goals

Realizing our dreams should be fun. To get in shape, to have a positive impact on the world, to complete a project, to experience exciting adventures, to expand our financial resources, to have great relationships — all of these can be viewed through the lens of projects that help us bring our unique potential forth into the world. As we work towards these, we are often met with that nagging voice of the inner critic. There are a few ways to deal with this inner obstacle so that we can keep moving towards our other goals.

If we are so busy going after our goals that we are consistently disregarding how we feel, we are missing the point. Long-lasting happiness is a balance between embracing ourselves in the present moment even while we are moving towards the goals that fuel our inner passions.

The outer purpose is to arrive at your goal or destination, to accomplish what you set out to do, to achieve this or that, which of course implies future.
