Taking a brief pause to remove yourself from a situation that is highly reactive can help us clear our mind . It also prevents us from responding harshly because your breath sends your body a signal to calm down.
💗 Question your emotions
Ask yourself, ”What am I feeling?”Why am I feeling this way? This helps you get to the root cause for your emotions and understanding them better helps you understand your patterns.
💗 Write down what you feel about the situation
This helps us to interpret the situation as objectively as possible, while learning to look at problems objectively and logically rather than simply reacting to emotional cues.
We may not be able to control our emotions as they happen, but we can control our responses to them.
