We live in a really fast-paced world today. Sometimes it can feel like everything and everyone are just breezing past us while we’re still unsure of where to even start, making us feel like we’re falling behind.

And when we feel like we’re falling behind, we feel like we’re losing the race of life.

But the thing is, life isn’t a race — it isn’t even a marathon.

If anything, life is a journey where the destination is literally unknown because anything can happen and it can change from day to day.

So, the best thing you can do is to enjoy the journey, celebrate each day that you get, and achieve wins every single day.

And the best wins you can achieve in your daily life are in areas that make up your entire self— physical, mental, and spiritual.

If you can give each of these 3 areas a bit of focus every single day and do things that will benefit these areas, you will feel like a winner each day of your life, trust me.

Physical

The easiest part to do something about is the physical part. Aside from sleeping, almost every other thing you require to do will involve some form of physical movement.

And that actually helps — just moving around.

Go for walks, jogs, runs, or go swimming. If you’re hitting the gym, do some weights, lifting, etc., and get your body moving.

If you prefer cycling, do that.

Move, that’s all you need to do. Even if it’s just from your office chair to the kitchen or pantry to get a glass of water, do that. Walk around, move around — and do that as much as you can throughout the day.

Moving around helps your blood to circulate around your body better, which in turn helps circulate more blood to your brain as well, which helps your overall mood.

Mental

This then brings you to the mental part which is just as important as the physical part.

You really can’t or rather, really shouldn’t focus on only one. You should focus on both — for better overall well-being.

So, what can you do the give you that mental win for the day?

Well, if you’re reading this article, you’re already doing it.

By reading, writing, creating, or learning, you’re stimulating your mind in ways that will only benefit you.

Since you’re on Medium and reading informative articles, you’re already giving yourself a mental win.

Go ahead and journal a bit after this, or maybe do a painting or learn a new skill.

All of these things will give you such a mental boost that your day will feel fantastic no matter what else you do for the rest of the day.

Spiritual

While this area is not mentioned enough or spoken of as often as the other two, it is still a really important aspect.

Regardless of whether you’re religious or not, you are spiritual.

Your body is a vessel that houses your spiritual being. We are all spiritual beings.

That’s why things like spending time in nature and being among things that are spiritual can be so uplifting.

And when you strengthen that side of you by praying or meditating, it really helps lift your mood too.

Studying is also one way to strengthen your spiritual self, believe it or not.

How your day goes really is down to you and what you make of it — be it good, bad, or ugly. As I mentioned, life isn’t a race or a marathon, but more of a journey that will never end until life itself ends.

So live each day with gratitude, take each day as it comes, and count your blessings as much as you can.

Achieve wins every single day in your life because that’s the best way to live it.

Focus on the key areas of yourself — physical, mental, and spiritual.

Do things within those areas that will make you feel good, that will help you be healthy, that will make you feel like a winner.

Do them daily and watch your life transform for the better.
