3 Things to Understand When You Wake Up First
You didn’t wake up because you’re better; you woke up because you had enough sleep

1. Allow People to Enjoy Their Sleep
You wake up and everybody else is still fast asleep. There’s a sense of pride that covers you. You are stronger. You are better. You’re more disciplined. You are chosen.
You think you have it all figured out. The ins and outs of the sleep-wake cycle. You think you know everything and others know nothing at all.
They must wake up. They’re missing out. They’re missing out on the peace and serenity. They’re missing out on the download of information.
You take in all that information making you feel like you have the answers that could change lives.
You know it and I know the feeling.
I know how frustrating it is to witness the people you love sleeping their lives away. It’s painful to watch them struggle in their sleep. They toss and they turn and they can’t seem to find comfort.
“Why won’t they just wake up,” you think to yourself. “Why won’t they just open their eyes and see?”
You talk loudly and you scream.
But no matter what you do and say, they don’t wake up. They sleep so deeply. They can’t hear you. They can’t see the things you’re seeing.
You feel their pain and you want to help. You know they’d feel better if they just woke up and joined you.
You struggled in your sleep; woke up, and wiped the sleep out of your eyes and you see everything clearly.
I get it.
You feel alone being the only one awake. You feel insane for seeing things they can’t see. You try to shake them awake but they sleep.
Here’s what you need to do: Let people get their sleep.
2. People Wake Up When They've Had Enough
Everybody is on their own soul journey. Just because you woke up doesn’t mean others must wake up too. You can’t disturb people when they sleep. Sleep is good. Sleep is healing.
People sleep because they need it. They wake up when they’ve had enough. They wake up when the alarm goes off. They don’t wake up an hour sooner or later. They wake up right on time. It’s not your responsibility to dictate what time others wake up.
You don’t know better because you woke up; you woke up because you weren’t better.
Waking up first doesn’t give you any power over those who sleep. It doesn’t automatically make you their teacher or coach. You didn’t wake up first so you can direct people’s lives. You woke up first so you can get to work. You woke up first so you can pave the way. So you can leave a trail for those who willingly follow. You become a teacher or a coach because it calls you.
3. Waking Up is The Soul’s Decision
It wasn’t a person who woke you up; it was something bigger, more powerful than you are. When others are ready to be woken up, trust that they will be.
It’s very powerful to understand this.
You have to understand that everything is divinely designed and orchestrated, and what someone is going through is exactly what their soul needs to grow.
If they’re awake, it’s what they need. If they’re sleeping, it’s what they need.
Don’t disturb their soul’s plan. Don’t interfere with it. You can’t force people to be spiritual. You can’t force them to wake up, and you definitely can’t change them.
When you wake up, you must know your job and also the universe’s job. It’s your job to keep getting better. It’s your job to keep learning. It's your job to be the change you wish to see.
You can’t judge others for sleeping too long. Waking up is great, but so is sleeping. Let people sleep and focus on yourself.
The journey gets easier that way.
