3 Things About Life I Learned From Cristiano Ronaldo. The last one will Sadden You

Since I was in primary school I appreciated Cristiano Ronaldo, one of the greatest players the world has ever had, so I tried to learn as much as I could from him. Even though I personally didn’t have the chance to meet him, I think I understood a few things about life from this incredible man.
First of all is that it doesn’t matter if your parents were rich or not, you have to work hard and get where you want to be. As most of you may already know, Cristiano Ronaldo came from an extremely poor family, and his mother wanted to abort him because she had no money to raise him. This didn’t stop him from becoming one of the richest athletes on the planet.
Secondly, you have to always try to be the best. Nobody remembers why you are mediocre so all your life you have to work hard to be number 1. Whether it’s number one at school, at work or anything else you have to always try to be the best. In addition to being better you need to surround yourself with people who motivate you to be better like Leo Messi did for Cristiano Ronaldo.
Lastly and perhaps one of the saddest things that this superstar has managed to teach me from afar is that no matter how good you are time passes and never forgives. If you don’t work hard when you’re young and feel like you have time there comes a day when you realize that the peak has passed, the next generation comes and you have to give way to them. Look a few years ago Cristiano Ronaldo’s market value was $120 million and now it’s $15 million.

Even so, he is the athlete who marked my childhood, adolescence and adulthood.
