You can successfully Monetize any skill you’ve got

Do you have a life skill?
Do you intend to go into business?
Do you find it difficult on how to earn or make more money with your skill?
If you find yourself in any of the categories above, you will find this article helpful beyond doubt for they have been tested, refined and are trusted over time.
I discovered and employed these strategies in my business alongside my hustle. Believe me, they have proven true all the way.
Your journey to financial independence and debt-free life is paramount to your happiness and fulfilment in life.
The good news is that this applies to all aspects of “legitimate” business or means of income.
Briefly put business is the rendering of services or selling of products (goods) for monetary gain.
As soon as I realized the possibilities and potential in whatever life skill one possesses, I came up with strategies I employed and they massively worked for me as I earlier mentioned.
So I decided to put them together and share.
Here they are:
- The strategy of Branding and Rebranding
- The strategy of connection/networking/publicity
3. The strategy of teamwork
The strategy of Branding and Rebranding:
"A brand for a company is like a reputation for a person"… -Jeff Bezos
If you ever have the intention of going into business, the first thing is to brand your work, this can entail getting (preferably an online) complementary card/logo which displays the name, summary or highlights of what your business is all about.
Naming and branding a business is something that must be done with great thinking, investigations as to what and what is expected of the business set up and business etiquettes to ensure customer’s satisfaction.
Note that as time goes on, securing the business is paramount and this ensures rebranding for copyright purposes.
If possible, where copyright is obtainable, do go for it.
Your content, service and work you provide for people are unique and peculiar to you, hence you must protect it with all diligence to avoid piracy.
This is mainly for persons who are into the entertainment industry.
The importance of branding cannot be overemphasized. Branding your skill helps you to:
- Package your work
- Makes you marketable
- Makes your work attractive
- Keep your originality
When I was about to launch my freelance writing brand inspired by Dr Mehmet Yildiz of Illumination publication — LUMI-HUB, were I major in writing health topics, consulting for health workers in their research, data entry and analysis, the first thing that came to mind was to get a good poster.

This was the beginning and launching of the business.
There are free legal websites where easy posters can be gotten. I recommend these two:
The strategy of connection/network/publicity
"Know where you want to go and make sure the right people know about it." — Meredith Mahoney
After I decided and settled on what I am going to do as a side hustle, I searched for areas where my prospective market was.
Your market isn’t just anywhere but located in strategic places that concern your skills and where it will be in demand.
In medical school, when I got a grasp of research writing, I assisted a nurse in hers.
She was so impressed and started telling her friends about my work and the assistance I rendered.
This was the first breakthrough.
Then I understood getting to know people and being of assistance is a key factor in promoting your business.
Other Importance of connection include:
- It helps you to spread your business to very important people.
- It gets you to improve on your content
- You can get new techniques or ways of approaching different challenges.
- It gives you links to other places where you can get assistance.
The strategy of teamwork
"Technology is nothing. What’s important is that you have a faith in people, that they’re basically good and smart, and if you give them tools, they’ll do wonderful things with them." — Steve Jobs
The fact is that you cannot do it alone. No man is an island of his own.
When I launched my stuff, I thought I was going to do well managing it alone but as time went on, it began to grow and expand.
From one client, it became 3 and then 9, honestly, at the moment I have lost count. My point here is that I couldn’t curtail the magnitude of growth.
So this was what I did:
- I selected persons I could trust and confide in because the works required confidentiality of clients and participants too.
- I organized a training session for them and taught them on the processes involved and what it entails.
- I created a group page where I could have effective monitoring and keep tabs on them to monitor their growth and improvement.
So the take here is that you should create a room in your heart for expansion, expect it because you know your content and delivery.
This brought a larger income increased my capital base.
Conclusion:
Expect you are charity oriented, it is a big deal giving these a try.
It will make the landmark the beginning of your business career.
Brand and rebrand from time to time, connect with the right sources and create a team you can trust and rely on and you are sure of being on the path of making your mark in time.
"Success isn’t about how much money you make; it’s about the difference you make in people’s lives." — Michelle Obama.
Ensure you put in your best to what you do, dedicate time to training and personal development, then you will be most valuable to not just yourself but the world at large due to your efficiency, proficiency and problem-solving abilities.
Be on demand! Money will follow...
Thanks for your time…
