3 Steps to find peace when you just want to lose it

How to take the pain out of temporary problems

We've all been there. All at once, the boss at work is on your back about finishing some random project, the kids are crying at you and say they have the flu, and the dog is barking because you are late taking him for a walk. Ugh!

Instead of racking your brain on whatever is your latest set of problems, the ability to rest your brain engine will make a big difference in solving your challenges of the day. Some of our daily issues are just stubborn and the more you try, the more stuck in the muck you get. And some days life just makes you want to lose it!

Here’s how to stop the madness!

Taking a break actually could be the best way to manage yourself, manage life’s problems, and make decisions. And avoid making situations worse!

Wayne Gretzky, the hockey legend said “You have to be patient, stop pushing for a minute, and let the game come to you .”

3 Ways to get away from your problems. Don’t worry — they’ll be there when you get back.

  1. Walk — get up and out of the house. Embrace the beauty of nature.
  2. Talk — Call a friend. Camaraderie to get each other through their days.
  3. Tea Time — The Brits have a good tradition here. No matter how good or bad your day, take a break and take your tea.

This is one of my personal stories demonstrating all three.

When I got to get away. I grab a coffee or tea and take a drive out to my favorite lake just a 10-minute drive away. And then I walk. I look at the amazing water and envision what it would feel like if I was in it. I say thanks to Heaven if I see some birds or wildlife running by — especially the white swans and blue herons! I talk to any passerby who is willing or just say hello.

My mind and emotions just get a rest.

Bonus:

Enjoy a break and play some Wordle.

Wordle is part of taking a step back to take a step forward.

Grinding your mind on your problems means it is time to getaway.

Thank you, Mr. Wordle, for giving me a break and telling me that everything is going to be all right.

Here’s to you taking a break for yourself and finding the elusive peace in your life.
