It's all a bit of a laugh!

Even in the darkest moments of our lives it seems to me that we can always find something to smile about or laugh at. And that is ever so important for a number of reasons, well, three big ones to be precise.

It is a defence mechanism which we use to hide our true deep inner feelings. And why we want so desperately to do that is because sometimes those strong feelings are very raw and painful to confront. Far better to avoid that confrontation and take refuge in something much more pleasurable and beneficial. That's because smiling and laughing always produce positive results, not only within ourselves, but within also in others.

It makes me and others happy and healthy. Like everybody I want to feel happy, for all the reasons mentioned above. However, I firmly believe that happiness also helps us to live healthier, longer lives. It is, I believe, the best medicine you can take, whatever ails you.

It distracts us from the unbearable tragedy of life. If we are not thinking about the tragedies of our fragile, all too fleeting, existence then that can only be a good thing. Happiness makes our lives bearable and supportable. Happiness helps us to get through the days of hard times, times when if we didn't laugh we would cry out in pain. And that is something we all want to avoid at all costs.

So without further ado I suggest you click on the link below, which is not only a very funny article, but it will also, at the end of this very funny piece, take you to other links to yet more funny articles.

Have a smile, have a laugh and forget all your troubles and woes, as well as those of this Covid 19 world in which we live.
