LIFE AND HAPPINESS
3 Reasons to Stop Planning Your Life Ahead
#1 Live the minimalist life
I’m 26 and living back with my dad. I don’t have anywhere to live or a real job after being in a mental clinic for the last month. Now I’m healing and don’t have so much of an idea what I’m doing, but it’s ok.
Here are 3 reasons right stop planning your life, because let’s face that it’s hard to look ahead right now.
Live the minimalist life.
So I’ve basically been living out of a suitcase for the last ok. Forever. Since university and thereafter travelling to India then living in Spain and now living in Germany, my life is in a suitcase.
Made me laugh the other day when on a bookstagrams podcast she told me about the minimalist life and if I’m interested in it. Only then did I realise I am one without even knowing it.
When you don’t have much, you don’t worry so much. You also don’t think of the future that much either — I am not attached to material items. Are you?
Then maybe take a step back and notice that when you stop planning your life, you may start living (even out of a suitcase!). The next thing is to:
Take others into consideration.
“A little consideration, a little thought for Others, makes all the difference.” -A.A.Milne
The second reason to stop planning your life is that it’s not all about you. Sorry to break it to you, but other people matter too. When you start considering others, you can plan better and not turn egoistic. Life is about sharing. The best things in life are sharing moments with others, I think. Not sure about you, but spontaneous days with friends and family have been the best in my memory. So let go of the planning and be in the moment- it’s all we have.
Last but definitely not least, stop planning your life because:
You never know what is going to happen.
OK, so here comes the sob story. Basically, I’ve been in a mental clinic for the past Christmas, my birthday, and new year. It sucked. Now I’m living with my dad at 26 and have not idea what to do except getting back to helping people find peace. I don’t have a place to live other than my room from 10 years ago, but it’s ok. You know why? Because I have so much to be grateful for.
My dad has been the best parent one could wish for during such a hard time, and I owe him the world. He’s been there for me through thick and thin and shown me, pure love. It shows me all we need in life is love. So that’s the main ingredient to three reasons to stop planning your life — let yourself love and follow your heart!
