In this article, I want to go over three quotes from Elon Musk, one of my biggest role models. What I love about Elon is that he pushes the boundary, takes risks, and excites me with his brilliance.

Musk runs his own company, Tesla, and they do everything from create electric vehicles to solar products and traveling to space. The guy is an icon and that’s why we’re going to look at three quotes he said that will enhance your mindset.

Quote #1

Don’t confuse schooling with education. I didn’t go to Harvard but the people that work for me did

In this first quote, Elon Musk tells us not to confuse schooling with education — meaning that just because you go to school does not mean you necessarily got an education.

Musk did not attend Harvard himself, but he is such an iconic leader that people smarter than him in certain aspects gravitate towards him to work for him.

When you’re not the smartest one in the room, but you’re in charge, that says a lot about your personality. Musk is a charismatic leader who doesn’t get too cocky in his accomplishments and is always looking for new ways to grow his company.

If he, Jeff Bezos, Steve Jobs, and Bill Gates can make it without going to college, then you can, too, and no one is going to tell you differently. Elon is an inspiration because I know school isn’t for me, yet I know I can make it without it.

Constantly think about how you could be doing things better. Keep questioning yourself.

In this second quote, Elon Musk talks about how you should keep questioning yourself and how you can be doing things better.

With this mindset, there is an immense amount of room for growth.

If you don’t think outside the box and assume that you’re doing everything the most efficient and intelligent way possible, then there’s little to no room for change.

When Elon Musk got into the automobile industry, he looked into green energy and electric vehicles because the world needs to move on from Carbon emissions. He didn’t act like a sheep in the things he wanted to accomplish, and neither should we.

The world is too full of possibilities to get complacent and stop being innovative.

People work better when they know what the goal is and why. It is important that people look forward to coming to work in the morning and enjoy working.

In this third and final quote, Elon Musk says that his employees work 1,000 times better when their leader has a clear vision. Since Musk is the CEO of Tesla, all of his employees look up to him for guidance, support, and hope.

From the way Elon carries himself, people love what he has to say, look up to him as a superhuman, and appreciate his brilliance.

It takes an extraordinary person to run a $200+ billion-dollar company. If I worked beneath Elon, I would have ample amounts of confidence and trust in the company is successful, which is precisely why it’s thriving the way it is today.

Sometimes, being kind, showing empathy, and having a few great ideas is all you need to change the world.

Elon Musk is a powerhouse of a human being. He’s full of brilliance, and he continues to shock the world with all of his incredible ideas.

If you’re lost and need someone to look up to, choose Elon Musk.

He goes against the status quo but backs up every decision he makes.
