3 Life Lessons, I Learned The Hard Way But Boosting Confidence In Me

Boost your confidence with my lessons

In my growing-up years, I never had confidence in myself or in my abilities. I used to count on others a lot. I used to think I could never be like them. The more I used to count on others the more I used to lose my confidence.

But counting on others comes with a cost that I never realized was there.

I used to be a good-for-nothing person for other people. And people used to think I was useless and treated me the same. I was never being accounted for anything and my opinion never counted. I was only there but my existence never counted. And that is the worst feeling anyone can ever have.

But what then changed the whole game for me? Now I am confident and believe in myself and my abilities. People around me count on me for their personal decisions (I am not bragging about it, but want to let you know that my personality has changed). Keep reading for what made that drastic change in me.

I stopped counting on others. So, I started to count on myself. I started to give priority to myself. My attitude towards myself changed. I started to think, “I and my opinion is the only thing that matters to me”. It does not mean I don’t value others and their opinion but I give the highest priority to myself and my opinion.

I run my life based on my opinion and make decisions accordingly. Then whatever the result I accept it with open arms. This helped me build my confidence level. With the passing of time, my confidence level increased and so did others’ approach toward me changed to positive.

Now I have some of my quotes to keep reminding me of my new self. I keep these 3 quotes in front of my working desk, they keep reminding me of who I am.

  1. Believing in myself is the only option I have. And that is the best option I can ever have.
  2. Focus on good, positive & ‘what I want’, irrespective of the situation.
  3. Keeping myself happy at any cost must be my number one priority.

Hope these 3 quotes are helpful to you, as much as they are for me.
