Lessons Learned from Quitting a $120,000 Job to Help Others Achieve Financial Success on YouTube
3 Lessons that he learn while he decided to quit his $120,000 per year job and started helping others by providing financial success on YouTube. These 3 lessons have changed his life and he now has over 375,000 subscribers on YouTube. I hope that these 3 lessons that I’m about to share with you, help you decide to live your life and follow your dreams.
I’m always searching for something that will inspire me, help me with my dreams, and something that I feel needs to be shared as much as possible with the world. I don’t typically watch youtube videos all the way through, but this one was really good and I learned 3 valuable lessons.
Vincent Chan was working in New York City for a big corporation and started out making $120,000 per year, he worked for a few years before he made this decision to quit.
The 3 Lessons that he learn from quitting his job
If you don’t build your dreams, then someone will hire you to build theirs. — This hits home for me, my day job is working for the biggest company in the world (Amazon). I’m a manager for them and even though I do enjoy most of my job, I can’t say I don’t feel this way as well. Defiantly gets me thinking.
We are all replaceable. — He has a great story behind this and I have seen this as well in my company. No matter how great you think you are worth to this business, they will replace you tomorrow and never stop moving.
Purpose. — Living for your dreams, feeling like you are helping others, and feeling like you have a purpose for doing the work that you’re doing. The way he talks about sharing with others on his channel is how I feel about me being on Medium and sharing with you all. I’m not doing it for the money, I’m doing it cause I enjoy helping others succeed in life and I also enjoy the unpredictable side hustle case studies that I’m currently doing.
My other thoughts
This guy is inspiring to me that he had the guts to quit his job, lose that cushion that a job has, benefits, and have to worry that you might not be able to make it. And I know that every person’s situation is different, some still live with their parents, some have a family to think of as well. I couldn’t do what he did without having a very good plan and a good bit of savings. He also has another video explaining this — Professional Quitter
