3 Inspiring Lessons Learned From A Bubble Tea Shop

Abundance abounds

Ingenuity is the ability to solve difficult problems, often in an original and creative way. ― Pearl Zhu

Recently I have started to explore our town more. I have always loved to find new food and drink places to try out. Now, I have turned this into a way to write local news articles for News Break.

Yesterday, I visited a bubble tea shop hidden on an ordinary street. On my 100-day journey exploring abundance, this shop taught me some lessons about variety.

I love the way businesses have responded to the global pandemic. They are so creative and find ways to serve their customers even more during these times.

This Taiwanese bubble tea shop is an excellent example of abundance, service, and fun.

I will share three lessons I learned from this shop that we can all apply to our lives right now.

Make it Fun

This shop found a great way to provide a wide variety of candies, snacks, and cookies to their customers while limiting the people inside the shop to the employees.

They created what they called a manual vending machine.

They placed their display shelves right up against the windows and labeled each product with a number. That way, customers can tell them what they would like to purchase by telling them the number on the shelf.

It is a fun way to purchase something, and it means that only the employee handles the product before the customer buys it.

I asked the shopkeeper for some chocolates, and she let me choose from two different designs.

I was so delighted to choose, and it was fun to look at the cartoon characters on the label.

How beautiful they have found a way to interact with customers from a distance and provide a way to make their service fun.

We can all learn how to create more fun in our daily lives, even with current restrictions.

How can you find a fun solution in your life?

Add Variety

This tea shop has the widest variety of tea, lemonade, and coffee selections I have ever encountered.

Right now, we are all craving something different, and this fits the bill.

One of the best parts was that they offered something that no other shop does. They allowed you to add popping bobas to your drink. These are little juice balls with different flavors. My son loves them, but we had only ever found them at frozen yogurt shops.

I ended up ordering a peanut butter coffee drink with coffee jellies, a lychee lemonade with mango jellies, and an oreo blended drink with strawberry popping bobas.

They were all delicious, and we thoroughly enjoyed them.

I am excited to go back and try more drinks and combinations. We decided that this will be our go-to bubble tea shop from now on.

The best part is it is also local and not a chain. I love supporting smaller businesses like this.

The lesson here is that variety and having something unique will set you apart and bring abundance.

Serve Others

I love how this shop strived to serve others. Their signs were in English and Spanish. It shows they want to help everyone in the community.

The shopkeeper was careful to ask me what toppings I wanted to add to each drink and whether I preferred hot or iced drinks.

When you pay attention to details, it shows you care about yourself and others.

I could tell that by their careful organization and systems, this shop strives to be of service to everyone.

I appreciate their concern for the safety of their patrons. It shows that they want to serve their community with love.

My prayer for you today is to look to add fun, variety, and service to your life, just like this shop does. The benefits of this are abundant.
