3 Incredible Will Smith’s Movies You Must Watch If You Haven’t.

#2 Aladdin, is definitely a must-watch and one of my favourites.

Today is Will Smith’s 52th birthday, to celebrate his birthday, I’d like to share with you the three absolutely incredible movies that I have watched from Will Smith that you must watch if you haven’t watched.

Let me know in the comment below, which Will Smith’s movie is your favorite and which movie would you recommend watching during the Covid lockdown.

Without any movie spoilers, let’s get started! :)

The Frst Movie: “I Am Legend”

I watched this movie when I was in grade 11. I remember watching this movie with my Taiwanese homestay families with their big widescreen TV. They decided to rent the movie on the TV for one day for about 10 dollars which I thought was well worth it! We watched it and really enjoyed the movie. We actually watched the movie again and again until the 24 hour time expired (talking about money well spent LOL)

The movie had a lot of suspense and I would definitely not recommend watching it alone. I thought the movie had a great plot, reminded me of Coronavirus we have now although not as deadly… where in the movie 90% of the population was pretty much wiped out due to the virus. Even though there weren’t many characters in the movie. The movie had a strong message and good storylines I think is somewhat relevant to what we have now facing Covid. The core message I got from the movie is that we need to be to come together to give support and helping one another in order to overcome and win against this difficult battle caused by the virus.

This is one of the scenes from the movie that still gives me goosebumps just recalling it:

“My name is Robert Neville. I am a survivor living in New York City. I will be at the South Street Seaport every day at mid-day, when the sun is highest in the sky. If you are out there… if anyone is out there… I can provide food, I can provide shelter, I can provide security. If there’s anybody out there… anybody… please. You are not alone.” — Will Smith (Robert)

The Second Movie: “Aladdin”

I watched Aladdin played by Will Smith last year 2019 during the summer break at Metrotown, in Canada. This is a very light-hearted movie by Will Smith in comparison with “I am Legend” for sure.

This movie was suggested by a friend of mine saying that the main casts were all good looking. I agreed with him, the Genie played by Will Smith was awesome, mischievous and on point. Jasmine played by Naomi Scott was gorgeous, and beautiful, and Aladdin played by Mena Massoud was pretty amazing, and he is a handsome guy too, I admit!

The Disney classic song “A Whole New World” covered by Naomi and Mena played throughout the movie was so good that I actually downloaded on my Spotify and listened for months till today, that's how good the movie and the movie soundtrack had the effect on me. Overall, I really enjoyed the movie. The soundtrack and picture effects were beyond incredible, it is a must-watch if you haven’t watched the movie yet. Watch it this week, yourself or with your family. You will love it! ❤

“I can show you the world Shining, shimmering, splendid Tell me, princess, now when did You last let your heart decide? I can open your eyes Take you wonder by wonder Over, sideways and under On a magic carpet ride

A whole new world A new fantastic point of view No one to tell us, “No” Or where to go Or say we’re only dreaming A whole new world A dazzling place I never knew But when I’m way up here It’s crystal clear That now I’m in a whole new world with you (Now I’m in a whole new world with you)

Unbelievable sights Indescribable feeling Soaring, tumbling, freewheeling Through an endless diamond sky

A whole new world (don’t you dare close your eyes) A hundred thousand things to see (hold your breath, it gets better) I’m like a shooting star, I’ve come so far I can’t go back to where I used to be A whole new world With new horizons to pursue I’ll chase them anywhere There’s time to spare Let me share this whole new world with you

A whole new world (a whole new world) A new fantastic point of view No one to tell us, “No” Or where to go Or say we’re only dreaming A whole new world (every turn, a surprise) With new horizons to pursue (every moment, red-letter) I’ll chase them anywhere, there’s time to spare And then we’re home (there’s time to spare) Let me share this whole new world with you

A whole new world (a whole new world) That’s where we’ll be (that’s where we’ll be) A thrilling chase (a wondrous place) For you and me”

The Third movie: “Pursuit of Happiness”

Even though this movie was out in back in 2006. Somehow I was always busy with work or school so I never had the time to catch up with the movies I have wanted to watch.

So I actually just watched this movie recently during the Covid lockdown. No shame though, it’s never too late to start doing anything even if is watching an old movie people have been talking about over and over but you haven’t had the chance to watch it. You can still watch in 2020!

Even though this movie might feel a bit sad to watch with the story where Chris Gardner played by Will Smith had gone through quite a tough time financially eventually leading his wife leaving him and Chris ended up living homelessly with his son but he was able to remain hopeful and attain the success and happiness he deserved through hard work and perseverance.

Final Thoughts

Here are the three incredible movies you have to watch by Will Smith if you haven’t:

  • I am Legend
  • Aladdin
  • Pursuit of Happiness.

I am planning to watch Gemini Man by Will Smith which is directed by one of my favorite directors Ang Lee (known for his masterpiece Life of Pi)

Let me know in the comment below, which Will Smith’s movie is your favorite and which movie would you recommend?

Thank you once again for reading, have a great weekend! :)
