3 Golden Negative Emotions that Ruin Your Life for Better
Sometimes these are better than happiness

I felt on top of the world when I was a class topper.
But when I failed in life exams, all the negative emotions taught me more than the tiny achievements of my life.
Below are a few lessons that have positively shaped my life.
#1. Heartbreak
The first breakup of my life gave me a high fever.
And with that fever, I had to take an exam.
Then, my entire life turned upside down.
Ten years fast forward.
I barely remember the heartbreak. But I am so proud of what it has made me.
Lesson:
- It has taught me to say no to anything or anyone that does not inspire me. We always want to impress everyone but ourselves.
- In any relationship, mental wavelength matching is the only thing that steers the partnership. It does not work on logic.
- It taught me never to disrespect my values or belief system to make others happy. You can make others happy only when your cup of happiness is to the brim.
- It introduced me to many hobbies that make me happy without anybody’s company.

2. Loneliness
I have been living alone for the last two years. I romanticized having my own space. But the reality hit me hard.
I had to struggle with loneliness in many ways than I had imagined.
It has made me stronger than before.
”If you want to conquer fear, don’t sit home and think about it. Go out and get busy.” — Dale Carnegie
Loneliness has opened the doors to many hobbies that give me happiness and self-reliance.
Moreover, I have learned to be honest with myself.
Lessons:
- If you show weakness to others, chances are they will be mean to you.
- Loneliness teaches me not to depend on others for happiness.
- I have started online writing, cooking, and walking.
- Previously, I wanted to talk to anyone even if they didn’t share my values. Why? I could avoid loneliness. Now, I speak to only those whom I gel with.
- Loneliness has shown the power within me — the power that lies within everyone.
3. Fear
Two years back, I was anxious for an exam.
My brother made fun of me, seeing my weak state of being.
That day, I decided not to show my fear or anxiety to others.
Lesson:
- If anything bothers you, write it down. (I am writing now to drive away a nagging irritation within me. Again, I am waiting for an exam result and I am tensed)
- Believe that everything happens for a reason.
- When you overcome this phase, you will be proud to have dealt with it alone. From next time, you become independent to deal with any such situation.
Final lesson:
It’s always wise to first depend on yourself.
