3 Common Features of The Most Read Articles
#1 Tell people about your mistakes
We all know that writing is not a talent. Writing is a verb, literally. You can put your thoughts, ideas, and expertise on paper.
For authorship, a unique world emerges. Yes, anyone can write. However, not everyone can be a talented writer because fiction is a personal world. It is a long process. Creating a delightful story requires an outrageous amount of attention, persistence, and creativity.
Whether it’s fictional or didactic, people love to read an article for its atmosphere. What do you think is the atmosphere of writing?
The atmosphere of the writing is the characters created by the author and their relationship in a fictional story. It is the environment they live in and their conversations. When you read a book, you agree to enter the writer’s mind.
Outside fictional writing when we notice blog posts or platforms such as a medium, we see a self-reflection again, but it comes across completely differently.
The author stands out here with experiences. There is no fictional hero like in the novel. The key person and the subject of the story are clear.
The major reason a story is over-read
I think about why people click on a topic. What is the figure out the reader finds that title attractive? I have researched. I analyzed, read,, and observed how people seek solutions to their problems, which subject they were most interested in.
Because of all these observations, I determined the 3 key topics that people need most. Readers do not stop reading real personal experience stories no matter what.
In this article, I will share 3 shortcuts of the most read articles. If you use these features in your article, you find the opportunity to increase the volume of your article more.
1-Empathy
The power of empathy in writing — comes from establishing a link between your own experiences and common feelings of people. Empathy is the backbone of writing because the writer conveys directly experience without offering solutions.
Adding empathy to my writing is something I have recently discovered. Previously, I thought it would be better to embellish the article with a ton of research. However, too much technical knowledge or expert opinion bores the reader. People want to read a true story.
There are many ways to incorporate personal experience. You can explain a topic with scientific data and research. Since the methods you give in the article are scientifically provable, it brings the feeling of trust. However, you need a few more heartfelt details that will make the article no longer a handful of research.
Let us assume that we have two titles that describe the same subject but are written in different ways. Let social anxiety be the subject of both articles.
- How to beat your social anxiety, here are 5 easy steps.
- I learned to live with social anxiety. Here are 5 steps.
The first sentence is far from empathy. It does not reassure the reader because making the problem easy is not the solution. More empathetic titles need to be given on socially challenging topics because you teach nothing here, you produce solutions.
The second topic will come closer to the reader as it begins with a direct experience. The person who wrote the article has experienced social anxiety, and his experience in this matter may be of benefit to the reader.
Empathic stories bring the reader and writer closer together. Besides, it helps establish a network of trust shaped by experience, as in the second example.
2-Personal experience and transparency
Describing an experience you must give the reader confidence because people get stronger by experience. If you have experienced a situation before and have crossed those paths, you will be more comfortable telling people about the obstacles they encounter on the road.
When you convey life scenes from your own life and your environment, you present a movie scene that the reader can imagine. The distinct feature of a slice of life’s articles is that everyone is interested in the problems they experience in their daily life.
Talking about familiar issues will affect a typical therapy session in people. Strengthening the trust bond between the reader and the writer depends on the depth of the subject. When we incorporate our experience as a writer into our writing, we take more risk but also offer the reader space for comfort. This is exactly what we do as a writer. To the reader, I understand you because it means I have accomplished the same.
Transparency
When describing personal experiences, transparency is an important flavor to boost the reliability of writing. This transparency includes failures, disappointment, how you progress step by step while doing something.
The author can use the following these narrative methods while conveying personal experiences.
Failure Stories
What people enjoy most when reading stories of failure is the character’s development process. The most significant point of personal experience is not the success of the action, but what happened to the person who reached the finish line. People are more curious about the course of an event than the outcome. Therefore, we suppress our request to look at the last page while reading the book. We prefer to approach the development stages of the character step by step. Like in our own lives.
Step-by-step articles
All steps to accomplish something go hand in hand with tutorial logic. Because we dislike reading long and complex articles, no means how well written. Instead, we consume the articles that process step by step more quickly. An important reason for this is our great desire to take a break while putting something into practice.
The path from failure to success
This is the most important threshold for the writer to get emotionally connected with the reader. If you are talking about a disappointment, you are not emotionally open to the reader. A writer’s emotional breakdown in the article is the focus of the story. How did the author deal with failure? Seeds of failure are the first seeds of success.
3-Describing the struggles and amenities
When we look at the first stages of the article, first it explains the difficulties. The author here bases the writing on experiences. Shapes the writing with experiences. The author’s goal is to empathize with the reader who has the same difficulties.
In the second phase of the article, the author wants to present the lessons learned from the experience to the reader. Every difficulty has a solution, and it is these lessons that teach us to live life. In the second stage of the article, it is not about offering a solution to the reader. It is to show them the lessons learned from similar obstacles.
The solution part is the sum of the first two steps. Here the author offers solutions to tie the experience to a conclusion. Under this section, those who have gone through similar difficulties can approach their problems from a similar perspective by looking at the solution suggestions.
The results presented to the reader in an article should apply before. You cannot make a solution to have written an article. This is only possible with articles written under the guidance of an expert’s opinion. It is also possible to tell authentic experiences in research articles.
