3 Apps That Can Help Change Your Life
They helped change mine.

I remember when I was going through one of the most painful break-ups in my life, those were dark times in my life.
I spoke to a few friends about all that was going on, and they listened and gave very helpful advice; I’d feel better this moment, the next moment I was back being miserable.
One day, I picked up my phone and was looking for answers on Google. I cannot remember what I typed exactly, but I typed something like “how to move on from someone fast.”
I needed to make sense of how someone can claim to love you so much and intend to spend the rest of their life with you and the next moment; it is like you never existed.
Google brought up answers from Quora. People were sharing their experiences, and they were similar to mine. I spent days reading through every answer I could find on heartbreak and moving on.
I typed in some characteristics of my ex to understand what went wrong.
It turns out my ex was a borderline narcissist.
The stories that were shared gave me peace and helped me move on.
Ever since then I have looked in these apps to find some answers through the stories and experiences shared by people.
Quora
Quora is amazing. Here I find actual people sharing their actual experiences. There is so much to learn from the story of others.
The funny thing is most times I try to ask a personal question on Quora it turns out someone has already asked, and people have been kind enough to provide answers.
Reading on Quora has made me know much better and given me a different outlook on life.
Heck, some stories on Quora have made me smile, laugh, and even cry. If you need some answers to some life’s questions, I think you might just find the answer on Quora.
Medium
To date, this is the only subscription app I do not regret paying for.
A friend wrote most of his articles on Medium, and he’d usually blast a message for us to read his recent articles. The first time I read his article on Medium, the simplicity blew of the app blew me away.
No ads, lovely layout, readable font, and the stories.
I did not think I needed to join the membership, but Medium kept recommending some topics and I could only read 3 in a month.
Then one day, I bit the bullet, pulled out my credit card, and paid.
I have never looked back.
Articles on Medium are like you have never seen before. Most times, the writers tell a story and there is always something to take away from the story.
Reading here has changed my life. I spend most of my time here. Instead of aimlessly browsing the internet, I just open Medium.
Most times, I send links to my friends I think will be helpful to them.
If you are an avid reader on Medium, I’d suggest you join the membership. It will be the best $5 you spend every month.
TEDx
TEDx is another life-changing app you will also love! I stumbled on TEDx when I was searching on YouTube for what it feels like to be single and child-free for the rest of your life.
I was thinking about my life choices and I wanted to hear from people that have also made similar choices.
And I learned a lot from each speaker I listened to.
Think of TEDx as the video platform form of Medium. People share their stories and experiences on a variety of topics. You might not stop yourself from watching.
Final Thoughts.
Life is a journey, and there is a lot to learn better to learn from other people’s experiences so you will make better decisions than they did if you find yourself in similar circumstances.
As someone once said, the day you stop learning is the day you stop living.
