5 Absolute Must Traits of Successful Creators I Overserved

Learn from the best

https://www.freepik.com/author/fxquadro

In the last year, I came across many online creators, and writers and followed their journey and how they become role models for many creators who are starting fairly new.

I read their content and browsed their different social media profiles to get a sense of their content and how they became a creator.

1/ Repurpose content for different platforms

I used to wonder how one person can create this much content.

I learned it’s okay to repurpose your content on a different platform.

For example, If you are writing a blog on Medium:

  • Use a section if it on LinkedIn
  • Summarize in one para to use on Twitter
  • Post your favorite quote on Instagram

2/ Have a Growth Mindset

I have been brought up with a mindset that everything in life is a competition and you have to compete to get the greatest thing in life.

People usually talk about a growth mindset as if it’s easy to implement.

But the truth is upgrading your mind-set is the hardest part and lifelong condition you may have with a certain mindset.

It took me years of conscious work to achieve the growth mindset.

I attained this through writing self-affirmation, and gratitude every morning for the last 3 years.

And with this believe that- this world has enough for everyone.

Angela Duckworth in her book Grit talks about how to have a growth mindset and how it directly impact your success.

“A fixed mindset about ability leads to pessimistic explanations of adversity, and that, in turn, leads to both giving up on challenges and avoiding them in the first place. In contrast, a growth mindset leads to optimistic ways of explaining adversity, and that, in turn, leads to perseverance and seeking out new challenges that will ultimately make you even stronger.” ― Angela Duckworth

To cultivate a growth-mindset:

  • Get to know yourself
  • Realize that world has infinite possibility
  • Make use of your strengths

3/ Make Genuine Connections

When someone messages or leaves a comment on my posts, it means the world to me.

I reply to every comment and reply I receive ( minus the troll ones ), and I encourage everyone I meet to make sure I spread positivity and leave something to think about.

So if you are new in the writing space or for that matter anything you want to create, believe in your ability, and be kind to other people as much as you can.

Jealousy, envy will not help you in the long run. Do this:

  • Be good to people
  • Spread positivity through your worlds and action
  • Think positive

4/ Share knowledge for free

All of my content so far is free. I have published two e-books that got 100+ downloads in 30 days without marketing and promotions.

I have seen many online creators give away their knowledge for free through blogs, YouTube videos, e-books, or online courses.

So if you want to help people, it’s okay to share your lessons, and how-to guide for free so that it can help other people the same way it helped you.

My side-hustle newsletter is all about sharing my learnings and experiences as a solopreneur. Do this:

  • Create a free newsletter
  • Create a digital course to share your expertise
  • Write an e-book

5/ Life-long Learner

Life is all about learning, unlearning, and relearning.

It can take a lifetime to improve your habits, work in new ways, or connect with people who are evolving every day.

I started reading books on self-improvement like Think and Grow Rich, 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, and Atomic Habits.

Never shy away from learning something new; you’re correcting your course of action whenever you need to.

  • Read books, or listen to podcasts to gain knowledge
  • Don’t fear to pivot
  • Give your brain a break to process

Final Thoughts:

These are the traits I observed in my writing journey after following many successful creators online.

It helped me find my community, making new friends, and also helped me build your credibility to harness skills.

It helps you develop resiliency and agility.

At the end of the day, make your friend to upgrade your mindset and let it take you to the unimaginable dimension of your life.

Be Bold

Be Courageous

Be Your Best
