A Circle of Regrets
Prompt: Tautology
Regrets circle through her mind, mind plays havoc with her thoughts, thoughts feed into her heart, heart thumps wildly, wildly she thrashes out, “out, out!”, she instinctively shouts; shouts jolt her from her reflections, reflections of memories as she stares, stares at photos of her past, past where smiles were the masks “du jour”. “Du jour”? Today’s style soon will fade, fade into yesteryear’s photos, photos she will tuck away, away into the album, album which opens up memories, memories transporting her back, back to the land of regrets.

What a fun way to play with words as chain-verse or tautology! Here’s my first, and maybe final, attempt!
Thank you to Carolyn Hastings and Lucy Dan 蛋小姐 (she/her/她) for introducing this style of writing.
