I finally reached 100 Followers on Medium since I started here in August 2023―and I like to think of everyone as my friends from different parts of the world who share the same passion as me:
Writing and Creating
Initially, I was doubtful about joining Medium. I was already writing and publishing on Vocal Media, my Website, and on Ko-Fi. So, why should I venture here too?
However, it was not until mid-August that I realized how much value Medium provides.
Not only it is filled with vast knowledge coming from multiple sources talking about different topics, but I found that the communities here are interactive and a lot more supportive than the other sites that I use.
It also allows me the freedom to create to my heart’s content―not having to worry about rigid censorship and whether my hours of work will be published.
Of course, I still write within the guidelines but I usually write romance and horror fiction, and some of my blogs have political undertones. These are usually met with scrutiny at the other site.
Thus, this site feels refreshing and because of the wonderful community here, I feel heard.
I also write every day and I interact with the writers here. I believe this is what also contributed to making 100 friends and connections here.
Support others just like they would support you.
So, if you are also still deciding on whether you want to join Medium, I highly suggest giving Medium a chance. Whether you are a writer or a reader seeking knowledge, this site may be for you.
Lastly, before I go, I have started a Publication that is dedicated to all different types of poetry called Apollo, Dreams, and Poetry. I believe that poetry is just like art and it all comes in different forms.
It is a window to the soul
